K9 signs with GBP and is offered Kirkland or Angulo. Will have to see if Angulo is the same after that beating Kirk gave to him. But man. Kirkland/k9 is a great great fight. Both guys chinny. Both guys can punch. It has the makings of a multi knockdown classic.
i would assume that the reason kirkland is suing gbp is that they attempted to force him to fight canelo when james' right shoulder was not fully healed from surgery. a very bad conflict of interest on the part of gbp. they probably threatened james with breach of contract lawsuits if he did not submit to their demands which kirkland wisely did not. its funny now that kirkland's shoulder is completely healed that dlh and gbp have made no mention of a canelo fight with james. not even a ****ing whisper. dlh, gbp and canelo are so transparent most knowledeable boxing people can read them like an open book. sure, well fight you when youre injured but when youre healthy no go. the chances of canelo and james fighting is slim if not none regardless what the canelo nuthuggers here say.
K-9 is the worst sloppiest champ in history. Both **** him up something horrid. K-9 has a punchers chance vs Kirkland but likely gets bombed out before he lands that shot.
Either fight is extremely TV friendly. There won't be a ton of skill on display, but there's definitely nothing wrong with a good brawl every now and then.
Both guys devastate K-9 in all likelihood. I don't know how Kirkland will fare without (M)Ann Wolfe training him though. He has pretty freakish stamina and recovery skills with her. He hasn't looked good without her, and I've heard he's fired her and the rest of his management team. Who's training him now?
K9 gets knocked out in both fights. GBP will likely plan on getting Angulo a belt and have a mexican showdown with Canelo.
