he hasn't exactly been there for years though ( that high in the rankings ), so be fair. do i need to tell you how hard it can be to line up a fight with high ranked fighters? regardless of the division, its hard to get good fighters to fight each other. everybody wants to get to the mandatory spot without facing a talented opponent. and they then wonder why they get whipped when they get a title shot.
As long as it's a legitamit stoppage,I couldn't see chauncey complaining when he got stopped by solis.
'good fighters' u say? fight guys other then c class journey men for starters.Mate let me put it to u this way..if welliver was to fight colin wilson or bob mirovic that would be a massive step up compared to who he has fought in his career. true or not?
u said ''regardless of the division, its hard to get good fighters to fight each other'' The guys welliver has fought and will continue fighting are C Level Journey men,if Welliver was to fight colin wilson or bob mirovic that would be a massive step up in opposition. which part are u struggling to understand champ?lol
i'm talking about chauncy vs leapai ffs. if its true that chauncy knocked back leapai, its probably because of chauncy being higher than alex, and the risk is not worth it because it does nothing for chauncy's ranking. fighters don't seem to fight to test themselves or to learn properly, unless they can make a decent leap in the rankings by winning. they r not willing to take meaningful keep-busy fights these days, they instead fight guys with 6 wins, but 20 losses. they learn virtually nothing from the majority of these fights imo.
