As a purist fan who is blood thirsty and can see the skill behind Pride scoring and rules it is great but the majority of fans will view Pride fights as eerily violent. Watching Wanderlei in Pride is like watching a man possessed. In UFC he wars but you ain't got people like him and Rua jumping up and stomping on peoples heads. I remember once Wanderlei got a yellow card in Pride and I thought if he gets a yellow card then everyone gets a yellow card. Nevertheless, MMA does need a more technical approach. Generally speaking the GSP, Koscheck approach wins cos of scoring but isn't great for some of the purists. Howevers its much easier on the eyes for the casual fan. Tough argument.
