Atencio's stance is ridiculous. Both gloves at or below his pecs. Steps forward with a jab and then straight back. Anyone halfway decent would have starched him by now. Apparently a quarterway decent, Dudchenko manages to put him down again with one of the very few punches he throws. 20-16 Dudchenko.
Dudchenko inexplicably dedicated to the counterpuncher role. The reason this is strange is that there's virtually nothing to counter. Atencio doing some more dancing but not much more throwing. Dudchenko, the far more athletic looking of the two, seems like he could cut the ring (and Atencio's head) clean off in two seconds flat...but is content to hang back and flick a jab between short bursts of 1-2-1-2-clinch action. At least this round differed from the first two in that it was only a one point swing...that's exciting, I guess. :conf 30-25 Dudchenko
It feels so weird giving a guy a round for as little as Dudchenko is doing, but Atencio shouldn't even be professionally licensed. He'd not be out of place in the trailer park series. Dudchenko hitting a lot of leather but still more flesh than Atencio with his same old 1-2 rinse repeat pattern. 40-34 Dudchenko
Some rare body shots from Dudchenko, that is where the focus maybe ought to have been a few rounds ago. Atencio is soft down there. Indeed, the hands come down and Dudchenko presses forward with a flurry of strikes driving Atencio into the ropes and onto the mat. Atencio now even more negative, mostly evading and ducking down to clinch around Dudchenko's midsection when they get close. 50-42 Dudchenko
Dudchenko decides the hell with it and unloads a series of looping shots. Atencio manages to cover up enough to deflect most of them. Now they begin to infight, Atencio throwing one punch at a time and getting shy. Dudchenko turns him with a string of right hands...getting ugly. Every time Dudchenko throws one of his slow short hooks Atencio steps under it and ends up glued to his armpit. That's not Dudchenko's punch...the right hand or the looping haymaker are where he's had success. That's it...thankfully... 60-51 Anatoliy Dudchenko Please, ESPN, never televise either (but especially Isaac Atencio) ever again.
Teddy Atlas and all three judges had it exactly the same as IB (60-51 Dudchenko). Easy fight to score...but who would want to. :barf I hope Freddie's okay but if he is, he's got some 'splaining to do.
Round 1: Karmazin looking to punch with Miranda but not getting off as clean. Moving his head and minimizing the effect but Miranda still sneaking some home pretty flush. 10-9 Miranda
