it's not terrific, but clearly it's better than nothing since we're all still watching. and we have shobox to look forward to. :thumbsup
that was ruled a kd? that was unclear, it didn't look like the ref was counting. i was paying more attention to saul's reaction so i could've easily missed it.
Round 9 Fight has gotten pretty ugly. Lots of low blows and headbutts. Ouma controlled the action and landed more shots. Roman tried to rally with 30 seconds left but it wasn't enough 10-9 Ouma
Ouma needs an ugly fight like this just to get some rounds in. He hasn't fought for a long time before this fight. At least he's doing better than Mora.
I could've seen anywhere from draw to three-point Ouma win. This did surprise me a bit. But the scores were all pretty close...what was it, 95-94 and 96-93 for Roman?
Ouma was the close but clear winner on my card. Landed the better shots, but Roman did some good body work in there. But still, a guy like Kassim should be able to dominate a guy like Roman. That didn't happen.
you could very well be right, like i said my main focus was on the expression on saul's face and i had distractions around me. cats and women in the boxing room!
I could maybe see giving Roman the 10th due to his desperation flurries including some of those nice body shots...which at best would still put them at five rounds each. If there was an officially ruled KD in the 8th as tragicliston says, that would still mean an Ouma win.
This isn't the type of situation where it's appropriate to call it a robbery, just a mild head-scratcher and 'does not appear to be the correct decision'.
With the KD, I couldn't see a draw. Granted, it looked to be a Busll**** KD, but still. No way did Roman win that fight.
You're right, I detailed that in my response to HandsOfGold. The most Saul could have won is five rounds, and that's if you generously gave him the 10th. Not even close to a three-point victory.
