i had it wide, wider than I expected, with Katsidis almost sweeping it. I had one round even though re watching it I'm sure I'll score it differently. it was brutal and though escobedo had a lot of good MOMENTS, I didn't think he had nearly enough good ROUNDS
One of those bull**** judges actually scored it something like 118-110 to Escobedo. I dont know what fight he was watching but he must have been Ray Charles. Katsidis won EVERY round. That was absolutely relentless. 12 rounds of in your face for 3 minutes solid. Katsidis is the new Gatti. The man is the ultimate warrior.
I think it was 116-112 but I agree that score was bull****, Katsidis won comfortably. Katsidis is a warrior, watching Katsidis-Earl was one of the great boxing moments in recent years imo.
Yeah, it's not like this was a difficult fight to score, either. It was pretty clear that Katsidis won most of the rounds. Thankfully it didn't effect the outcome, but this is actually one of the worst bogus scorecards that has occurred in a LONG time. A blind person could score this fight properly.
Katsidis is a guy that deserves a big screen TV contract just because of the way he fights. I bet Ricky Hatton wished he could fight that way
