Katsidis is aggressive, fairly quick and fairly skilled. But he cuts easy, he's taken a few beatings, he swells, he throws wide shots that leave him open, he's fairly ineffective at long-range and he's getting old for a pressure fighter.

I think we've seen only fleeting glimpses of Kev's potential, but I think the discipline he showed against Prescott will be key here. He'll need that to survive Katsidis swarming assault in the early rounds while moving and jabbing. If he keeps his punches crisp, he'll have Katsidis in a bloody mess by the fourth round.

After that, he'll need to step inside when he jabs and catch Katsidis with rights. This is essential, but risky. Here's where the fight becomes 50-50.

Katsidis could start getting to Kev and wear him down unexpectedly. Possible stoppage in round 7 or 8. But I think Kev will do much more damage and really **** Katsidis eyes up. He'll be fighting near blind, taking hard jabs and the occasional cross and try to keep out of trouble.

Mitchell will take over, bringing heat to Katsidis for a convincing 8-4 decision.

FOTY candidate with Katsidis knocking Mitchell down in the 12th to seal a close PTS win :deal

I hope Mitchell pulls it off though, I think it will be an amazing fight

It's not a question of if Mitchell stops Katsidis but when he feels like it.

Katsidis is relentless, cuts the ring off with decent success and has a good body attack, son's gunna know he's in a fight.

Mitchell points ~ i wouldnt be surprised if he had to get off the floor to do it but he could win rounds pretty comfortably if he chooses to box smart and not get drawn into a slugfest

This fight is, in my opinion, a few too soon for Mitchell...

I may be amongst a minority, but his win against Prescott didn't impress me that much. Prescott had been exposed and out-classed just a fight or 2 before and Mitchell didn't look half as good doing it in my opinion.

Also, the whole arguement in favour of a Mitchell win from his camp seems to be that Katsidis is shot. How the **** they came up with this, I'll never know and I think he, Mitchell, will actually believe this and get taken out within 6-8 rounds.

Another thing, Graham Earl decking Katsidis for 0.5 seconds after he, Katsidis, had been put off by Micky Vann's refusal to accept the towel, does not mean that he is going to be easy to drop.

I am going for Katsidis win via early stoppage.
He will bring an agression like kev has never seen before. He is ****ing strong at the weight, whereas we dont really know if kev is or isnt as yet.
Kev was nearly out on his feet with johansson, although it was a good win, and it showed he could dig it out. But Kats wont let kev off the hook like johansson did.
The early pressure will tell, and i reckon a corner pull out could happen

    Mitchell TKO or Katsidis TKO

This fight ain't going the distance, both of them hit too hard and have no defense....

Mitchells power and classier more precise boxing skills or Katsidis warrior spirit and relentlessness....

I think Mitchell will hit him with cleaner more hurtful punches and stop him late...
