Yes! We had single judges scoring it the other way around in shutouts. The single Thurman scorecard got booed away by the crowd, which it deserved. And was obviously tactically scored as well.
I don't know that he can't take body shots — the ones that hurt him bad were precisely landed power shots. Danny and Porter went downstairs, but couldn't hurt him there. Collazo had power and Pac's well, Pac.
Close fight with Thurman coming on strong but that body shot he took late that hurt him badly sealed the fight for Pac. Had he not taken that body shot he probably would have done enough to win or atleast get a draw by the way the fight was going up until that point.
It was close but Pac won it by a couple of rounds. I think it's difficult to give it to Thurman without smoking a crack pipe first. Also we know with scorecards they can be a little random sometimes remembering Floyd v Canelo with one judge making it a draw when Ginger clearly got clowned. It's majority that counts and even that can be dodgy on occasion.
Thurman deserved the win. A single KD doesn't make up for being outlanded in total punches and outlanded in power punches at a near 2:1 ratio. People see Fury as obviously deserving the win in the first Wilder fight, despite being knocked down more than Thurman and only barely outlanding Wilder (personally, I think a draw was fine). Pacquaio just has a fanbase that will gaslight people into thinking every decision should always go his way.
Honestly, first thing you should do before going to a boxing forum to talk about scores in fights is to learn how the scoring system works. It will spare you a lot of embarrasing situations. Plus you will be very surprised when you realize that punching ratio in a fight has nothing to do with the scores.
If you say so... Good night. And have a look at the scoring system, it will help you in next posts. Bye bye
