Mayweather might have the money, but rumour has it he has a gambling problem and isn't as wealthy as he makes out!

He might have the money, but he seems like a really bitter unhappy man. Every time he opens his mouth it's something negative.

Thurman also doesn't have any major disadvantages apart from slight inexperience or obvious weaknesses that have been exposed. (If you think he's chinny for being shaken by Soro Karass, you're stupid).
Therefore, mayweather will not fight him. Simple as.

I'd rather Maidana fought Thurman. He's the interim champion too so it'd serve as a unification of sorts.

Way too soon for Thurman he's not ready and hasn't done enough to earn that fight either.

He's been putting together some nice wins but its doubtful he's even beaten a single top 10 guy at this point.

If he were to face Mayweather in Sept that would leave him time for one more win and even if he were to beat a top welterweight like Maidana that still wouldn't have earned him a shot.

Now by the time 2015 rolls around there's a good chance Thurman could be a frontrunner for a Mayweather fight, as long as Thurman keeps winning.

There's no reason Thurman can't get 3 fights in this year and with the talent GBP has at 147 there's an oppurtunity for Thurman to add 3 very good wins to his record.

Then with Thurman on the rise and Mayweather being 38 it becomes an attractive fight but its just too soon this year.

 

I don't understand the hype around Thurman. Someone can explain?!

Why is Floyd at almost all of the big televised fights? I don't think its only for entertainment purposes. Keith Thurman is quickly becoming a big attraction at 147, I highly doubt Floyd has never seen him fight. Regardless of what he says, he scouts.

Good fight, but it will only make Mayweather look worse. Thurman beats everybody in Welterweight, 2015 Mayweather will take refuge in 154 rematching Canelo & Cotto.
