I made this thread back in January after I watched a Brook interview on IFL where he clearly stated that he saw 2018 as being his last year in boxing.

Since he beat Rabchenko we’ve had Brook fanatics and Hearn fanboys claim that Brook is a beast at 154 and that Kell and Hearn genuinely want a world title belt at 154 or a rematch with Spence.

Now after having been called out twice by Charlo and repeatedly, almost desperately by Hurd, we have an announcement that Brook, left shook from these young lions, is fighting Brandon Cook. Shook Brook v Cook (who da cook is dat guy?)

Quite clearly this confirms that Brook is done and is desperate for the Khan cash out. What frauds Hearn and Kell have proven themselves to be. They don’t ****ing want Spence again at 154. Spence would render Brook blind in a rematch and Eddie Hearn knows that, Kell knows that and Dom Ingle knows that.

They don’t want to go anywhere near Charlo or Hurd for the same reasons.

Cook and then a desperate, past their sell-by-date clash against Khan. What a joke.

Say what you want about Khan, he genuinely wants another world title and would be happy boxing Thurman, Spence, Garcia or Crawford in dangerous fights against the elite. Khan is delusional but has heart and genuine champion desire.

Kell on the other hand doesn’t want to go near any top 154lber and is desperate to fight glass-chinned Khan at 150lbs+ for an easy KO chance. Pathetic.

You don't think you're a bit too harsh on Brook? Considering he's been chasing Khan for awhile only for Khan to constantly move the goalposts and make excuses year after year.

Why is he chasing Khan when Charlo and Hurd are calling him out? It’s self explanatory. He wants an easy KO win with a boxer below his weight class instead of a tough fight with a world champion. If someone hated on this forum like Gervonta Davis did that they would be lambasted.

As I said, all signs point to Kell being finished.

brook has made a few mistakes along the way, but he has been so spectacularly mismanaged by matchroom that its hard to point the blame elsewhere.

arguably one of the best UK fighters at the weight for a long time, left fighting unknown domestic level fighters at his peak because his promoter was too busy buying expensive trinkets for his main fighter. He then gets offered a desperate money grab two weights up against a murderous puncher (kell wanted it, no one made him...), who then literally smashes his face in within less than two mintues.

As a boxing fan the whole thing disappoints and saddens me really, because brook was genuinely very good. its hard to see how anyone could have done a worse job with him. his career has been finished in the space of two fights.

The slashing Spaniard stole Kell's soul. Kell should have spent that fateful night with his lovely wife.

Better off wanking it on the laptop like King Khan. Promiscuous Kell can learn a lot from his daddy GrandMaster Khan

We need a Gloves Are Off special featuring Brook, the slashing Spaniard, any witnesses who were at the gay bar before hand and Mrs Brook to establish once and for all what happened that night.

Kell Brook is a ducker and was pro for 10 years and didnt fight anyone but domestic level fighters.

Now i know that some of you will say that he is a warrior for taking on Golovkin but he made it for the money and also was allowed to keep his title at 147 while cashing out 160.Never liked the man inside and outside the ring.

Super overrated by some brit fans and even some americans. For years he was also laughing stock for some on this forum for ducking and pulling out of fights with injuries and because the Tenerife incident. He isnt top 10 fighter at 154 and has only 1 good win at 147 vs smaller Porter in a clinch fest.Should of fought Khan years ago and then retired both of them.

He might be too big for 147 but at the same time he is too small for 154.So what now ? There are bigger fights to be made at 147 rather than 154 since Canelo is gone from 154 now.It doesnt make sense to go up with 2 broken eye sockets and little power and ruined mentally after those 2 losses.

Would be EPIC! Could be PPV
I don't think Kell wants to relive it tho.
Absolute insanity, Kell really must have offended the guy to get slashed like that. After Kell's femur got slashed I wonder what happened next lol!!!:scared1
It would be the best if there was CCTV footage :D

Because Khan is a bigger payday than either and potentially an easy fight, how exactly does that point to him being finished? Khan also campaigns in a weight class where he recently fought and used to hold a belt in. Brook may be damaged goods but I see no reason to label him as "finished." I think he'd at the very least cause Charlo and Hurd some serious problems, even if he were to lose.

If he wasn’t finished he’d have taken up those fight offers, that’s my point. My argument is that he knows he’s done and that’s why he’s chasing the easy cash out. His statements in the January interview add credence to my argument.

Or he wants a payday before chasing either of those fights. Can't say I blame him for looking at an easier route for a while, he took a lot of damage in 2016-2017. Cook, Khan and then a legit fight at 154 is the path I think he's going to take. The truth I think lies somewhere in-between. He might fancy his chances at some of the bigger 154 fights but is looking at easier fights before attempting it due to the damage he's taken recently. In any case Khan is a fight that's been talked up for years and is easily is a better fight than his last or upcoming. I won't be complaining.

Mate he doesn’t want those fights. That’s why he said that 2018 is his last year in boxing. It’s all smokescreen and hype from Hearn.
