I think he'd struggle with Alexander. Too clever for him I think.

Let's not get carried away with the performance tonight, we learned little. Saldivia looked terrible. Knocked out by a jab ffs.

I dunno man, I'm usually all big on young, British fighters, but I just don't see what's so great about Brook. If he does beat Bailey in 6 or Alexander though, then that might make me a believer :think

Im not completely sold on him either mate, I think he might just lack that extra bit of toughness to make it at the top level. Dont think that much of Alexander though, guy has kept himself in contention by robbing fighters in St. Louis

Looked amateur at times. An opponent like that does nothing for Brook besides build a little confidence.

He is the heir to Joes throne. He can't take a tough fight like Bradley. Bailey is old enough, though.

How do you think the Special One would do against Bradley? Close fight in my opinion

I agree to an extent. I think that their is a better then average chance that Kell ends up having to go to Alexander's back yard to fight for the title. Bottom-line though is that if you're a Kell Brook fan and you want to see him back in the ring anytime soon you'd better pray Bailey chin checks Alexander tonight. Cause that's the only fight that team brook is likely to be able to make anytime soon.

Provided Alexander wins the big problem for Brook is that there are a lot of money guys in the division and Brook doesn't have an established enough position to make fights in the UK against any of them.

Here's a look at the division that illustrates what I mean:

The big money guys in the division are:

    Bradley
    PAc
    May
    Berto
    Alexander
Gurerro - medium money fighter but sells a lot of tickets.

Other big money fighters that are needing wins but always in demand because of their action styles are:
    Ortiz
    Madiana

Plus if they win a few fights:
Khan and Hatton are also big money guys that are out there two but both are going to be taking a few fights before they get back in world title contention.

Paulie Malignagi is a medium money guy that has his own solid fan base. Provided he wins tonight he'll be looking for a pay day or an easy fight that pays good money.

The problem for Brook is that unless a miracle happens he'll have to go through one of these guys to get a title. None of these fighters have to come to him because they make enough money on their own.

The best course of action would be to make Paulie a huge sweet heart deal and bring him to the UK but unless Hatton loses his comeback you gotta know that Paulie's holding out for the big money rematch with the hitman. Kell has no chance of out bidding hatton for a paulie fight.

Even if Hatton lost there are so many more HBO/Showtime fighters (Khan, Miadana, Gurerro, and Ortiz) that the networks would rather match against Paulie that it would be tough for brook to make the fight anyways.

The WBC could strip floyd for in activity but Gurerro would be first in line. Kell isn't ranked by the WBC and with guys like Thomas Delorme ranked at the top of the WBC's rankings its almost impossible to think Gurerro would volunteer to come to Kell's back yard to fight for the full title.

So basically what I'm trying to say is that I expect Team Brook to spend a long time exploring their options but if Hatton wins or he loses and Kelly still can't make a fight with Paulie Brook would not have too many options left if he wanted a crack at a world title. It might be that taking Alexander to purse bid and hoping Matchroom could out bid GBP + HBO might be the best of a lot of bad options.

Eitherway if you're a Kell Brook fan I predict inactivity and frustration while they try to make the most of this difficult situation.

Lets wait to see how Alexander does against the past prime Bailey tonight. Although Alexander has been beaten 3 times (Bradley, Kotelnik, Mattheysse) he is just as talented as Brook IMO, and is just maturing now as he reaches his mid 20's.

Brook vs Alexander would be a technical fight IMO, Alexander would make it interesting by not engaging, remaining on the outside using his slight speed advantage. Brook get into mid range and hit then use his reflexes to get out of harms way.

Kell Brook has had nearly 30 fights and not one of his opponents comes even close to being world class let alone top 10. Bailey or Alexander would easily beat hype job Kell.

He will beat Alexander without doubt

Can't believe the amount of posts i have saw tonight saying Alexander would win, must be watching different fighters from me.

Kell hasn't even had to come out of 1st gear other than when he gassed against Carson Jones, aslong as his fitness is sorted it will take someone every good to beat him and it wont be Devon Alexander, that is a cert.
