Indeed, Mackilin fights like Pavlik does. His fight against Jaime Moore was an absolute slug fest. Unfortunately he was brutally knocked out face first on to the canvas at the end, but for 10 rounds he showed he could stand toe to toe and fight. And just maybe Macklin could give Pavlik more trouble than expected. Pavlik isnt exactly Mr. defensive wizard and Macklin has some pop.

i agree 100% macklin has a nice bit of pop at middleweight and if he hits pavlik as much as espino did he has a serious chance

the only reason he was sparked by jamie moore was because of being weight drained

he is a different fighter at 160 and pavlik is not the same fighter he was pre hopkins

Id like to see it but Im not sure Macklin gets by Pirog, he should skip that and go right for Pavlik, heck Pavlik should go overseas for that fight.

They should put a double bill of Pavlik vs Macklin and Foreman vs Duddy on St Pats Day with winners to fight each other:good

90% of all statistics a lies. Gee, not only is this not a public poll, you couldn't back that claim up if it were.

Well I would fancy Pavlik to win this but I wouldn't require big odds to take a bet on Macklin! Anything over 3/1 against and I'm backing Macklin.

Macklin has to get past Pirog first. What else does he need to do to make this happen?

No hopers? Golovkin certainly isn't a no hoper. Have you even seen him fight? Pavlik will definately have his hands full there.

Oh, you've seen him against Campas and that immediately makes you the expert? How about you watch his more recent fights? He is far improved, his speed and power is coming on abudance and he's technically more solid, far better at picking punches and defensively more sound. Not saying he'd beat Pavlik by any means, but he's hardly 'trash'.
