Be real don't get loss in the hype . . . he is not unbeatable especially with his fighting style. My point is . . . for a guy who hasn't loss in the big stage it's impossible not to get noticed and be admired.

Valero? Valero hasn't fought any opponent close or comparable to Taylor or Miranda . . . and he did all his knockouts in ASIA. How would you expect U.S. audience to give him props? :-(

I never thought about this much. We just assume Taylor's chin is good, but in reality the first time he faced a puncher he got KO'd and then fought cautiously the second time, so its one to watch at SMW

Hopkins didn't really have the same sneaky accumulative power in his old age either, simply because he didn't punch enough.

Would they be harder to knock out in America, all im saying is about the level of competition aint great!

Pavliks fighting style will get him fans, i mean i like to watch him but theres a lot of people out there now that think hes some sort of unbreatable KO machine which he is far from!

And when 'my' man fought Hopkins all Nard wanted to do all night was hug him because he knew he coulnt match the workrate of Calzaghe so tried spoiling his way to a decision! When he had JC down he didnt try for **** to finish the fight!

what is clearly a very over rating aspect of Pavlik is his power. The guy has a very high ko percentage, but aside from taylor and miranda he hasn't knocked out any names, and both taylor and miranda were bludgeoned with lots of punches.

    Pavlik is AN EXCELLENT finisher

The guy throws big volumes of hard, accurate punches. He knows how to put away someone who is hurt. But I didn't see him spark out Miranda or Taylor with one big bomb. The guy has lots of power and throws lots of punches, but a lot of his fans are blinded by his ko percentage into thinking he's a bomb merchant. He's a volume merchant if anything, and his finishing skills and high workrate will take him further than having lead in his fists anyway.

So you dont like boxing you like a dust up, i like a mix of maybe one fight two fighters going toe to toe in the middle of the ring then the next fight watching good skills all round! Its good to watch all the different styles of boxing and appreciate how different fighters take against different styles!

Well again nopes . . . he is not unbeatable. One of these days . . . he'll be beaten and will be knocked out too.

    What comes around . . . comes round.:D

Knocking out somebody in U.S. or anywhere else is just the same . . . what I'm talking about here is the exposure to the main stream of boxing fans and major networks that brings the fight coverage all around the world. . . . . annnnnd the recognized legitimately highly ranked opponents cannot be found in Asia. :yep

Pavlik himself agrees with you on the power issue. After damn near every fight he says the same thing: "I think it was just the accumulation of punches that got him."

The whole idea that Pav even throws bombs is rather silly. Watch Abraham; everything from his toes up goes into a punch. Pavlik throws straight accurate shots REPEATEDLY. And it never looks like he is putting everything he could into a punch.

So how many decent opponents has Pavlik KOd? Taylor who in reality has an unproven chin at top level (fought mainly LMWs in his reign bar BHop and Pavlik) and Miranda who just got demolished by the limited Abraham? The same miranda that couldnt finish off a guy with an obliterated jaw and lost on points and the Taylor whos self confidence is so low that an ant couldnt fit below it?

did u not read what i said a page ago?
Pavlik's boxing career has just begun. He had to beat a bunch of bums to get a big name. Then he had to beat Miranda to get a fight with JT. He wasnt well known enough to fight big fights early in his career. So for what he has had put in front of him, 2 wins over JT one being a brutal KO, and Another brutal KO over Miranda shows alot. You Will see Big fights coming up in the next 2 years. So until someone Knocks Pavlik out, he would never be overated! I can see him getting beat on points, but a KO at 26 yrs old? Not gonna happen
