Ken Norton dead at 70

    Sad that he died. I understand his condition over the last year was poor. He had a good life though. Realistically had he not beaten Ali, no one would know who he was. He was a decent fighter who was a bad matchup for Ali. His whole era of HW fighters were ridiculously overrated.

    Liston, Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Holmes. All fought in the era under question.

    All of these men are in most top ten lists (or very close)

    Second tier had Mathis, Norton, Young, Ellis, Patterson, Quarry, Chuvalo, Lyle, Cooney, Shavers, Bonavena, Spinks.


    Sounds a lot like overrated nostalgia.

    Shh. Can't you see he's blinded by the greatness displayed by the likes of Gerber, Wach, and Pianeta...? :D
