Prime for prime. Who takes it ? IMO Norton's better strength and conditioning would carry him through to a clear points verdict. It would be quite a rumble,early on though.
I agree with Stevie. In order to beat Norton you had to essentially fall into one of two catergories. You either had to be a super hitter like a Foreman or Shavers, or you needed to be a great boxer like an Ali or Holmes. Witherspoon was neither. Norton by decision.
Norton by decision, he's a bad matchup for anyone but a big hitter that is very aggressive, and Witherspoon wasn't as big a hitter as guys like Foreman, Shavers, and Cooney, and he wasn't as aggressive as them either.
