Ruddock ends him early. Norton with his cross arm defence is open for Ruddock's "smash" and uppercuts. Ruddock is too explosive hits too hard and he has enough durability. Ruddock by KO in the first 3 rounds.
Norton by decision. Ruddock's low punch output would give Ken the opportunity to warm up, get into a boxing groove. Norton's awkwardness plays in his favor.
Norton would dip and weave in that crab like crouch of his , trying to smother Ruddock s power. Razor would be loading up , stalking and cutting the ring . He'd be breathing heavy as he did but still powerfully dangerous. I really don't see it getting past the 5 th round . Norton would step in low , ripping to Ruddock body , he'd mistime it , Razor would take a step back plant his feet and unleash the 'Smash'! Norton s head would snap back and he'd be almost out before he hits the ground.
I just rewatched Tyson-Ruddock I the other night. Razor was as simple a fighter as we have seen recently. He wasn't unskilled or fundamentally bad, just simple. I think Norton has a 60/40 chance here.
When utilizing a cross armed defense your not open to uppercuts crosses or jabs. I used it comfortably in sparring when I was younger
As much as I hate to do it i have to favor Ruddock and by KO or stoppage. Not only is Ken’s chin vulnerable but his whole fighting style would put him in harms way for that killer smash left. I can see Razor’s hooker-cut going right up underneath Ken’s crab defense and catching him on the chin
If Shavers can land uppercuts then so can a faster bigger more explosive fighter in Ruddock There's no way Norton can take flush punches off Ruddock he has poor recuperative powers. Once Ruddock lands one big "Smash" on Norton its game over.
