Ken Norton vs Fabio Wardley (Boxing Evolution Theory)

Norton likely boxes him silly, but more likely puts him down with a body shot, and puts him down for good.

 

Quarry was past his best when Norton got to him.

Norton also got stopped by Cruiserweight Garcia.

And Shavers, Cooney, dismantled Norton in 1 round.

So there is evidence in multiple fights of Norton not faring well against big punchers.

It's a stylistic issue for example Norton had the style to trouble outboxers like Holmes, Ali, and someone like Wardley wouldn't be able to have anywhere near the success Norton had against those fighters.

But on the flipside Norton freezes when he gets hurt and doesn't have a good track record against big punchers. He also can't fight on the backfoot due to his footwork and the way he drags his right foot.

So Norton is going to be up close exchanging punches with a bigger man who has the power to take him out. And I'm not sure I like Norton's chances against a big hitter like Wardley.
