Norton. Ali and Holmes are essentially better and bigger Tunney's and he was even with both of them, Norton's a safe pick in my view.

Tunney was a better puncher than either Ali or Young, and quite possibly have hurt the rather chinny Norton, but it makes more sense to surmise that Norton, with a pronounced size, strength and reach advantage would have won a decision over Tunney. Norton gets the jump on most boxers, but is eaten alive by a big puncher.

What? Tunney was accurate but one of the weakest punching HW of all time.

I take Norton as stylistically he is at perfect ends against Tunney. He probably wins by late KO.

What utter nonsense. What do you base this on? Which fighters with a durability even close to Bonavena's, Foreman's and Lyle's did Tunney ever KO? With thinner gloves mind you.

I don't think Norton would stop Tunney, but I feel he would take a decision from Gene. red cobra broke it down pretty soundly though I disagree about the bit about Gene's power.

Tunney with good mitts KO's. Otherwise, Tunney decisions him.

Norton arguably beat Ali twice and Holmes once, he has an easier time with the smaller less skilled Tunney and wins decisively

Nye Nye Tunney. I'd be suprised if Gene lasted 7 minutes.. He's not the caliber of fighter to keep Norton of with the annoying little poke of a jab either.
