Holt has one X-factor and thats his speed. Its fast, explosive speed kinda like Roy Jones jr. But is he a complete fighter? no, his biggest fault is his glass chin, his been knocked out/down by low quality fighters more than once. Secondly, his fighting style solely revolves around his opponents making mistakes and him countering. He doesn't have the ability to go in the ring and execute a gameplan. His gone be the type of fighter who shocks you here and there, but his not gone be able to maintain a consistent win streak against quality opponents.

He is an OK fighter. He needs to fight Torres again. And people please, remember Ricardo Torres has blocks in his hands. He is really heavy handed.
These two need to fight again

In fairness he did get dropped by Torres who is one of the hardest punchers at 140.
I think if he has better mental focus The sky is the limit for him in a weak 140 pound division.

Good technique, fast hands, can't take a punch.
Holt has a strap for the time being, but Torres has exposed him. Holt may hang on his trinket for a brief period, but he'll soon be a stepping stone.

They dont even have similar styles, and futhermore even a poor man's is a disgrace to Roy. Holt couldnt carry Roy's spit bucket, but Kendall is a good fighter and a threat to beat ANYONE at 140 right now.

Jesus Christ whats with all the RJ comparisons? Holt has resonably fast hands, but he's nowhere remotely close to being as fast, or as talented as a prime Roy. Not even CLOSE!

So is Holt more or less a slightly less accomplished Chad Dawson at the lower weights?

Thoughts on the upcoming third match with Torres?

He's got a beautiful left headbutt, uses it as no one else in the sport, maybe bar the great Evander Holyfield.

    :lol::lol::lol:

Would it be sacrilege to say that Holt is, potentially, whjen on form one of the best fighters in the world?

In the past few years alone he slaughtered unbeaten David Diaz in 7. Pacquaio, in a great performance, managed that in 9. Holt had him down in the first round.

Issac Hlatswayo is one of the best welterweights in the world right now. Holt took him on when he was 25-0 and beat him 119-106 on two seperate scorecards.

Then there's the win over Torres, and the tie breaker coming up against Ricardo.

Holt's 27 years old. I feel he's got massive potential if he can keep it together and improve much like a similar fighter in Chad Dawson has.

Of course it's not true. It's 100% bull****. Holt was never on Cotto's radar. Especially after being stopped in one round by Thomas Davis. Cotto left 140 because it was killing him to make the weight. It had nothing to do with Holt what so ever.

But in all honesty, Holt is a talented fighter. His two biggest problems are his chin and not letting his hands go enough.

Without the headbutt Torres was gonna KO him in 1 round.December is gonna take Kendall's belt from him headbutt or not.Nothing is gonna stop Torres now
