Awful fight. Anderson is crap and Smith's biggest claim to fame is being on a cheesy reality show.

I think Anderson KO's him around the 6 or 7th round but the fight itself will be boring as ****.

Smith does not seem dedicated to boxing. He is always out of shape and then doesn't get in shape for the fight. His skills rarely seem to improve and he isn't that talented anyway. He managed to forge a name during a period where fighters were not natural super middleweights or not very talented i.e. Quigg and Dodson.

This new era of Groves, DeGale and the like will be too talented, skilled, youthful and naturally big for him. I don't believe Anderson is on Groves or DeGales level but he is big and tenacious and he would have to be the favourite.

I think you're probably right with the being dedicated thing, if you look back a couple of years ago. I think now he seems to be in the gym all the time. I think he had something at one point, but got lost in the middleweight division by letting wazza make him tread water, and he became old overnight to be honest.
I still think he has something to offer at british level though, and is more than a match for kenny, who, lets's be honest, has never shown in the pro's that he has anything special himself. A shot to **** reid played about with him for 4 rounds.

I expect Smith and Anderson to put on a show. Groves and DeGale are too talented so avoided that fight but Smith did very well in tough fights like Quigg and Dodson.

I agree that wazza let him get old overnight. During the contender I was excited because I thought at 160 with some dedication to his fitness and skills he could have developed into more than he was. Inevitably his skills did not improve and he got soft and went up in weight.

Paul Smith should be fighting at 160.

Ruined himself by being lazy, could of done abit more maybe.

Paul Smith was and is the best out of all the Smith brothers.

I am not bothered who win's to be honest, not really a fan.

    This. :deal

I do think it'll be a good little tear up though, they both like to fight although I sense plenty of clinching.

    Indeed.

I do think that he has just about enough years to make a final run at getting to euro level.

I think people need to forget him going to 160, it just isn't going to happen.

I think if Kenny is wanting to have any success in this fight, he needs to stop moving in straight line, and be more active in the rounds. Rounds slip away from him. The problem is i don't knoiw if he has it in him to actually be any more active than he is. All this bollocks about letting him off the leash sounds like **** to me. Was fighting Robin Reid the perfect fight to be let off the leash? IMO it was.

I don't think Anderson is very talented but I do think he is very tough. I think hurting Groves has definitely afforded him a status that may not be true and that could show over time, perhaps a little like Prescott sparking Khan doesn't mean Prescott is a world champion in the making.

But being tough, training hard etc can beat fighters that could beat you. Paul Smith could beat Anderson as he does have some cute moves at times but I expect Andersons natural size and hard work to be telling though I'm wary of Andersons chin being broken at some stage.
