I would like you to get down to the leanest weight you could possibly imagine getting down to. Yea, like if you weigh 190lbs and think you are pretty good shape then get down to 154lbs. Then, when you are there and cant do ANYMORE, I will tell you to lose 5 more pounds by not eating for 3 days.

That is where Miranda was at 165lbs. He had nothing else to lose. 168lbs aint gonna be easy for him, but at least it is realistic.

A man who walks around at 200+lbs and is still pretty lean has no business fighting at 160.

keep telling yourself it was 8 pounds of water (1 gallon) the day before and not Pavlik busting him up......:rofl

 

I know how hard it is..but people seem to forget that he also had trouble making weight with Arthur Abraham..when he's winning, he's not weight drained..but he gets Ko'd and is.

 

he also had 24 hours to rehydrate..these aren't same day weigh ins anymore

 

That was a little different. He had trouble, but was able to get the weight off more normally. He was able to eat the day before the weight in. That should have been his last fight at 160lbs. But HBO took him in and showed him the light to JT. He thought he could do it for another year. He was wrong.

 

exactly.....Miranda weighed probably 175-180 pounds when Pavlik TKO'd him.....

You ever try to rehydrate when you are feeling like ****? It is not that easy.

Miranda weighed in at 160lbs for Pavlik and fought at 174lbs.
He weighed in for Banks at 170lbs and fought at 192lbs.

A healthy, undrained person has a much much easier time getting back to a healthy fighting weight.

how did he knock out all those guys at 160 being so weight drained.... it was only a problem when he got beat once by AA and beat down by Pavlik.....


JT never made excuses like that......Miranda was the 4th best middleweight behind.....Pav, JT and AA.....he's heavy handed for sure but you'd think the guy never lost at middleweight....atsch

 

he should never lose another match since that's the only reason he's lost so far....

Kessler said in a recent interview that if he could pick any opponent for his next fight he would choose Pavlik. If he is not afraid of Pavlik he is not afraid of Miranda.

Remember Kessler-Andrade ? Same thing..., but Kessler is better now because of the Calzaghe fight.

 

In the Miranda fight Pavlik looked like he thought he was Rocky Balboa, and he ate Miranda's best shots like a 5 year old eatin' skittles! He never really clowned Miranda or anything, but his whole attitiude and demeanor was; "Bring it on mutha-****a!" So now Kessler is afraid of Miranda, but not Pavlik -- atsch WTFatsch Kessler has bigger fish to fry than little eddy!
