thats a bg, big step forward for kessler if it's true.

i haven't read the local rag for about a week and i've been free from work a lot so this is news to me.

    let's hope it's true.

i'd much rather see kessler sign up with an established US promoter rather than promote himself though.

What makes you think he wouldn't do that???

Since Kessler took his title Palle hasn't protected him.

First fight was Mundine (ranked #3 by Ring) away in Australia with a backinjury

Then unification Beyer and mandatory Andrade - then Calzaghe again away (in top paying fight)

Then a worldchampionshipfight in his comeback against a decent opponent

Then Häussler - well Häussler was mandatory, so there was no way around that fight if they where to keep the belt. Again away and well paid btw.

I simply don't follow this "Palle isn't doing good enough for Kessler" ... Palle is no saint and he has f*cked up more than one of his fighters ... but I just don't think Kessler is one of them...

Kessler can't "just" get a fight with Hopkins, Taylor, Dawson or the likes ... there is a whole lot of politics and sh*t to be worked out. Palle got Beyer out of Germany and got Kessler a record paying fight against Calzaghe ... I think he has the abilities needed to land Kessler good fight in the future as well!

It would be careersuicide to make a conflict with Palle now - get a strait up deal for three fights within a given period of time...

Well, if Mikkels dream has always been to fight in the US, Palle hasn't done a great job for him this far. That's just a statement of facts. Also, we don't know the specifics as to what it is Kessler wants from Palle. I imagine Kessler would have liked Palle to have said yes to the Miranda fight. It didn't happen and Kessler lost a chance to fight in Gods own country. My take is that Kessler is fed up with Team Palle not working hard enough to bring about a big fight in the US. Palle is an old fellow and Kessler probably demands a higher workload that what an old man can put in. I agree that it is bad timing to fight Team Palle in a court case at this moment in time. Having said that, Kessler better start working on finding a new promotor that carrires more weight that Team Palle. Palle is just not willing to take the necessary risks that it takes to reach the absolute top. Actually Sauerland might be a good choice if Mikkel can't land a deal with the GoldenBoy. GoldenBoy would be the better choice because Kessler would get access to coaches that can teach him some new tricks, particularly in the defense department where Mikkel appears somewhat stationary at times.

damn.. is it possible to be so ****ing ******ed..

so kessler complains in the danish national media, taking a **** at palle and then the little fruitcake jonoli, thinks its a well thought out plan, so kessler has his excuses in line, if his next opponent is a no name.. brilliant fruitcake, just brilliant.. :yep

and people have broken their contracts with others who were more powerfull then palle.. do you seriously have a peanut, as brain ? what the **** does power have to do with anything.. this will end up in a legal battle, do you know what that is jonoli the fruitcake?:hey

palle has in the last decade ruined 3 fighters, DUE TO THEY WANTED OUT OF THEIR CONTRACTS.. all 3 of them in their prime, does that ring any bells for jonoli the fruit cake?

is this the time and place, where jonoli the fruitcake reveals his peanut brain is limited, and he just didnt have a clue, when he posted his ****.

i read a danish newspaper today, politikken or jyllandsposten, i believe it was.. in which mikkel said, somethinhg along the lines of, that he wasnt aware about, that he had signed a new contract, for those 3 fights..

he hinted that palle on purpose had taken advantage of his trust. he was just asked to sign some papers, which included a new contract..

other then that there were some issues regarding money, lack of contact and palle had not meet mikkel on several occasions, eventhough mikkel had tried to set up a meeting..

That is a very very big "IF"

Kessler wanted (still does) to be unified worldchampion of SMW - Palle got him the fights ... Kessler just lost the last one... Had Kessler won that fight it would have been him in the ring with Hopkins/RJJ in the US!

Then Kessler said that his number one priority was to become worldchampion again - he did in his first fight. Had he fought Miranda he would still be a contender. (you don't see the US fans screaming for Abraham - even though he beat Miranda in a spetacular way - so I doubt a Miranda-fight would have done that much for him)

Then there was the mandatory - well if he wants to stay champion, then that's just a fight that has to be fought.

Now (but not until now) he says his next step is to fight in the US ... which is what Palle is working on. They've been overthere on three promotions tours and I'm pretty sure Palle is talking to the possible opponents in the US. If Palle lands a top US opponent next, then his handling of Kessler has been close to great.

    i can't believe that you're posting sincerely.

palle did all the right moves leading up to and getting the calzaghe fight but all he's done since then is put kessler into a wormhole.

the "worldchampionship fight" against sartisan was euro trash and getting beyer out of germany isnt going to get kessler the big boys.

so what "whole lot of politics and ****! needs to be worked out if it isnt this circus??

you better know how that circus works if you want to defend palle - so tell me about this "whole lot of politics and ****!.

because i've spelt it out time and time again and i'm eager to hear what you think.

palle got him the fights to get a fight with calzaghe - another euro fighter who was top of the division like kessler was.

without each other they the winner would never had got a top US bill fight.

the fights kessler wants now isn't the fights palle is delivering.

the hard work has been done, kessler has a solid rep overseas and people love to watch him fight.

    so what does palle do??

takes a paper euro belt option over edison miranda! a fighter, like mayorga, who has built his rep on trash talk BUT still shown he's a dangerous fighter with a US foothold.

everythign palle has done since kessler lost to calzaghe has been a backwards step.

do you want kessler to be a paper champion (which is all sartisan brought but palle thinks it's leverage to bigger things), or do you want him to have his shot at greatness and take on the best opponents out there?

    you can't have both worlds.

I wasn't refering to height, I meant build, frame and height. At the Mundine/Kessler weigh-in Mundine looked like his son. I don't know how Kessler makes SMW. Look at Kessler at the start of his pro career and he's a skinny kid at SMW. Now he's packed with muscle and he weighs exactly the same. Don't know how he does it.

i know what you mean but ironically kessler doesnt look big in person.

fighters do tend to look 'bigger' when they are spanking their opponents though.
