In 10 years from now, I think people would tip a prime Calzaghe to beat a prime Kessler. though I do think Kessler will have the better resume by the time their careers have finished.

Joe will most probably retire undefeated where as Kessler will prob end up with 3 losses or so.

He's no certainty against Pavlik, Abraham, Bute in another couple of years, Dawson, Diaconu, Johnson and Briggs all give him bother too.

I want to see Kessler vs Pavlik. I got the feeling it will be close and I feel Pavlik's heart will win him it.

Kessler smashed Pavlik if they were to get it on.

As for who he could lose to in the future...

Well, Dawson is a huge threat to him. I haven't seen much of Diccou, but from what I've seen, Kessler would win.

I don't see Bute doing much to him, but who knows what could happen in the future.

Like Miranda and Taylor were supposed too?

Workrate, awkward angles, power punching and precision is what Kelly brings to the table.

I see it going late, Kessler tiring and taking one of those right hands, down goes Kessler, etc.

Bute has the handspeed and ability to trouble Kessler. I don't see where Kessler can evolve past what he is at the moment, he seems so ingrained in his style.

    Not by me they weren't.

Against Kessler, his work rate will be nullified against the extremely more precise and trickier Kessler. His power will count for little as he will not be able to land on Kessler as often as he normally does.

Awkward angles?! I don't see this in Pavlik actually. He does have a good jab, but again, Kessler's is better and he will land it at will.

Kessler KO 9 after losing no more than 1 round up until that point.

Bute's hand speed is inferior to Kessler's, in fact, his whole offence is. Watching Bute let his hands go is like a lite version of Kessler going to work on somebody.

This is not the area where Bute would stand any chance against Kessler.

In my opinion Kessler wont become better than Calzaghe but he does have what it takes to become a champion again.

What, like he did against Calzaghe or Andrade despite landing bombs? Kesslers power is over-rated.

Pavlik has a tendancy to land clean punches in a way that I haven't seen from many, especially considering how stiff he looks at times.

I think he's underrated. Calzaghe dominates him, definitely, for the trickier notion you mention with Kessler

But with Kessler, I don't see it.

Kessler fights one gameplan, against C fighters, it works. Against B's, I'm not so sure.

Kessler doesn't have combination handspeed, he has a sharp jab which we've already seen be nullified by a left hander and a relatively decent right.

Beyond that, he doesn't really throw in quick combinations.

He said similar going into the Hopkins fight. The Calzaghe of Veit I fight is far superior.

Kessler need to fight.... He is damaged goods now that he's lost to Joe. We need to see how performs, at least in his next fight, to see if he can reach the next level. I hope he does, but the book is open.

I think at some point he has got to go to the next level and take a chance.
