I dont think beating Sartison changed very much in regards to Kesslers PFP ranking. He needs a solid win or 2 then he should be there.

But I think it is going to be very difficult for him to land a big fight soon.

For some reason as soon as people beat the likes of Lockett, Sartison or Miranda, a bunch of people want to move them up in their P4P rankings.

I suspect those people mainly base their rankings on who they last saw on TV.

I have Kessler in the low to mid-teens along with Pavlik.

I agree. Kessler was 13-15 as WBA and WBC champ before the Calzaghe fight. With the Sartison win that is where I think he should still be. Calzaghe is ofcourse top 3 but Kessler will need either a couple of good wins or a unification win over Bute to make top 10 imo.

Danish? Moi? English born and bred my friend!

Back to the matter at hand, I have Kessler at somewhere around 12-13. He did briefly crack my top ten prior to Calzaghe fight. He has dominant wins over JC Green, Lucas, Siaca, Mundine, Beyer and Andrade, most top 10 fighters. I have seen people get into the top ten for less.

I cant see why people put Pacq at the top of the list, he lost to JMM at least once imho. He's a supreb fighter, i dont mean to sound like i'm taking anything away from him at all because he is superb but just think Joe deserves it more.

(Please i'm begging you please, i wasnt trying to start another "who the fuk has calzaghe fought for you to put him at number 1" argument honestly!!):rasta

I don't have a problem with Pac or Joe in the 1 slot, I only chose Pac because I think he has fought the tougher competition.

    **** no.

You can't be P4P Top10 if your last two bouts are:

    -A loss.

    -A win over Sartison.

p4p is impossible to define a top ten. p4p is ****ing stupid and serves no purpose what so ever. kessler is a very good fighter, so are all the fighters in the "top ten p4p". its meaningless speculation that is often baised towards fighters we like personally or dislike, it serves no purpose in any real world importance.

Rafa Marquez's has a KO loss and a decision loss in a row to not even top 5 Vasquez, Kessler has a competitive decision loss to top 2 Calzaghe.

Rafa's routinely in the lower top 10.

I am not saying Kessler should be in yet, but neither should Rafa and a few others, namely Calderon, who has not fought anybody worth anything.

Kessler's run against similiar competition blows Calderon's away. Calderon fight the limited, 1-d Cazares and gets a close win, Kessler fights Mundine, Beyer and Andrade, all top 5's when fought and dominates all of them like they are nothing.

Yet Calderon is top 10 ROUTINELY!

Having defeated only journeymen level guys impressively.

Being a big Kessler fan, no. He is near though, but he has not really performed in his last two fights. There were good reasons, ofcourse, but still he did not quite perform top 10 p4p level. I had him at 9 before Calzaghe, 15 after and now still 15.

Where are people getting this "on skill Kessler is top 10 already" stuff from?

There are many fighters I have ranked outside the top 10 P4P whose skills are leaps and bounds ahead of kessler, who has proven himself to be robotic, predictable, and rather limited when it comes time to adapt to the opponent.

These names include: Guzman, Dawson, Calderon, Linares, Mosley, and Wright, to name a few.

Okay, 1 fight in 2½ years then. Between after Leija and Hatton. So lets say vastly inactive.
