So you say that Kessler is nothing special....

    Absurd thread title.....

Kessler is better and far more multi faceted than Lacy and Pavlik , he not only can punch harder but can box with more versatility and superiority..

If Joe wasn't around Kessler would be a belt holder..

You purely need to go back to the drawing board and study this game with your glasses on..

    Have a wonderful day .........:good

I think you really just need to watch the honest difference between a Lacy and Kessler without the TV hype.. Lacy is a left hook and some wicked muscularity.. Pavlik is a good boxer puncher but has a lower punch resistance than both of the others.. Kessler is just everything the other two really aren't .. A solid rounded pro.. No frills...

I love how the all the Euro's here bash every American as just being biased to Americans... like you idiots aren't all biased yourselves.

I just call it like it is. Kessler was very unimpressive, and maybe it was just Calzaghe, but I doubt it. Kessler tired quickly, didn't have that much pop, very mechanical, unadapatable, stiff.

He lost bad, and looked pretty bad doing it. Now you want to give him props just to make the win look better, and it's obvious why you're doing it, because all of America saw that fight, and probably came to same conclusion I did, that Calzaghe is good, Kessler was another euro that was being overrated to make the fight bigger.

Kessler might win another title, he's not a bum, but he's not p4p status, or going to dominate the division.

This is spot on. Kessler is very likable and classy guy through and through, but everything nervousxtian said is right on it.

    Ok I get it ..

    Lacy was everything Kessler wasn't..

My god , I am in England but advise an American heavyweight and have no agenda towards european fighters.. In fact i dont like many euro fighters.. Valuev is shite apart from his size. Svenn Ottke was a joke and was completely protected.

just like Virgil Hill never took his championship out of North Dakota for 10 years.. I do happen to like Povetkin , but reckon Arreola may be a quality threat when he gets to a similar level of opposition.. I like Joseph Calzaghe but it tok a long time for him to look outstanding because he was brought on slowly early in his development.. Lennox was poor until beaten by McCall which became the making of him because he went back to the drawing board and became a completely rounded heavyweight and started to boss the division..

Don't generalise...... Some people do know the game .. Kessler is completely a more rounded fighter than Pavlik. before he stopped Jermaine he was getting his ass handed to him.. and in a rematch he will be exposed . But saying that i can't help but love Pavlik for being a honest hard working boxer puncher..

    God bless.. Enjoy your day:good

I can see where you're coming from and it's all fine. On the other hand you can be proven dead wrong if Calzaghe and Kessler go on to beat a bunch of top US boxers the next 1-2 years.

Nah man, thats not fare to Calzaghe if you now discredit Kessler. Im not a big fan of Calzaghe but he does gain some more respect with a win over Kessler, it wasa good win for his legacy, against a good opponent. He did wat he had 2 do.
Kessler is a good fighter, Saturday night Calzaghe was just better

I could be, that's boxing. You never know how someone reacts to a loss. Some guys never recover, and retire, and that's that. Some grow more passion, to prove all the doubters wrong, and adapt and become better because of the loss.

There's no telling how Kessler will react to this. It's not like I'm gonna bash the guy if he comes back better than ever and dominates, I just didn't see a dominating guy in that ring on Saturday.

Kessler and Lacy are such different fighters, but I am prone to say that Lacy is far more limited than Kessler. Lacy got through his early career through rough and raw power, but as he stepped up that power wasn't enough, guys at the b-level can usually take a few shots and dish back. Lacy never prepared for that, and wasn't prepared for someone being faster and able to take his best shots. He couldn't adapt at all to Calzaghe, and likely would of been exposed by someone else had Calzaghe not done it.

Calzaghe also exposed that Kessler is very flawed as well.

This isn't to say that Kessler and Lacy are **** fighters, but just limited fighters who received a lot of hype.

Fighters are hyped ALL the damn time and don't have the package to back it up, it's not their fault, it is what it is.

Calzaghe impressed me a lot in this fight though, he showed the Bika was a fluke, and that he is truly elite.

Bika is reknown for being awkward and a handful for anyone who dares to bash it out with the dirty *******. Bika is just that , a very dirty and rough fighter and boxing needs fighters like that to give some relaxed self satisfied champs a wake up call.......

    God bless......

What do you think Calzaghe, Kessler, and Bute are. Or even the other MiddleWeight Champions , Sturm and Abraham. Pavlik is a great white hope to beat Calzaghe? I dont understand, is it just different being a White American?

Yeah, not Kessler is nothing special and if Kessler fights/loses to Calzaghe then he's nothing special either. Typical bull****.
