The point is, Kessler had his chance to make a big splash here in America, and he opted to fight for a paper title and stay in obscurity. He isnt "poison". When he pulled out of the Miranda fight, he pissed alot of people off, including showtime, lou dibella, warriors boxing, and miranda. Why would they deal with him now?

HBO wanted Kessler vs Dawson, Palle didnt. They (HBO) reportedly offered the fight but Palle said Dawson was a cruiserweight and turned the fight down.

Kessler has said that he would fight Hopkins at the 175 LB limit, and has no problems with Pavlik coming up to fight him. He has also stated that he wants the big fights with the likes of Dawson, Pavlik, etc... all of the names he called out are already established here in America, why would any of them go up in weight (Pavlik), or go down in weight (Dawson) to fit the needs of an unknown entity?

If he wants to make a name he needs to stop the bs excuses and make the fights when he has an opportunity to make them, or stay in europe and stop complaining.

What makes you think that Dawson is afraid of Kessler? Dawson would outclass Kessler and make him look worse than Calzaghe did. It would be a terrible matchup for the Dane, and Palle knows it, thats why he doesnt want to risk taking the fight.

Didn't Chad Dawson call out Kessler and Kessler's team more or less said "no thanks, He's a cruiserweight shrinking to LHW?"

Kessler's management is as much cause for a block up as anyone else. The guy is poorly managed.

The problem is your perception rather than the reality. Kessler is a much more established champion than Dawson or Pavlik. He's a bigger name in world boxing than Pavlik or Dawson.

I take it that you have no withdrawn your claim that 'Dawson offered Kessler a fight and Kessler turned it down' in favour of the more realistic contention that 'HBO raised the hypothetical possibility of a fight and both parties turned it down unless it was at a weight that suited them'?

I've been reading through the comments before responding, but the title of this thread should be:

    Palle is Poison.

You get a rep for negotiating in bad faith and no one wants to deal with you. Some said Kessler is obligated to Palle as long as he is ranked? No wonder he wanted that crap strap. crap strap.. I like the sound of that....

Cite for Dawson calling out Kessler?

I can give you one for Kessler saying he would be happy to fight Dawson at 168 or a catchweight...

The U.S. television station HBO, the most safes channel, is interested in a battle between the Danish WBA-world champion in the super mellemvægt, Mikkel Kessler, and the American IBF-world champion in letsværvægt, Chad Dawson. The offer rejected Team Palle.

"Him, we are not interested in. Chad Dawson is a boxer who is closest in cruiservægt, but then presses down in weight, so he just may lie in letsværvægt. Indvejningen After a struggle he takes five to six kilograms of. Mikkel takes about a kilo in after indvejningen, "explains Mogens Palle to TV 2 Sport.

"In addition, Dawson is not a big name. Mikkel has box on the big money, and money is not big enough in the battle," says Mogens Palle.

    Like I said, poorly promoted.

Miranda called out Kessler and agreed to all his terms. For some strange reason Kessler backed out of a fight that I thought he could win. Abraham proved that Miranda is all talk and no substance and got the recognition stateside that Kessler should have gotten. If Kessler had done the job that Abraham did for him, he would have the options that Abraham now has.

It's amazing how people can write such things. Kessler cannot duck Froch because Froch has 2 mandatory defenses to make before having an optional. Inform yourself please.
