Kessler is poison

The contender should seek to fight they so called champions.
Its all right for me to let Bute and Froch have 2 defenses before confronting Kessler. One of the fight could be against Taylor.
In Kessler's 5.th fight as champ, he did unified the wba and wbc and went for the wbo and the ringbelt - but i don't expect others to do this, even though it would be great.
Taylor should fight Kessler, Bute or Froch next. And then the big round of unifications fights shut begin.
Any problem in this ?

 

It is quite comical. Consider this, with JT's first fight in the smw division, he has as good a name, if not better name in Jeff Lacy (former smw champ) on his resume than both Froch and Kessler.

we've heard all this before about any european who thinks that winning against b grade fighters in europe somehow earns them the right for big name fights against bigger name fighters who beat bigger fish to get where they are today....

some of you just aren't reading my posts - because i never hear anyone question what i'm posting regarding this.

like dan rafael said recently, "i wish kessler would make a fight in the states instead of flying over here to say he'd like a fight in the states..:".

you want a golden goose opportunity in america? earn it and work for it.

it's not hating to say that a good fighter like kessler isn't doing enough to raise his profile in america to earn a top fight over there.

 

After his draw with Winky, JT was willing to do the rematch, Winky was not.

After he gets KOed by Pavlik, he chooses to do the rematch in 4 months. Most people thought this was a horrible idea without a tune up.

JT is a warrior. Anyone who knows about this guy knows this. He comes to fight. Now, he might be avoiding Froch for financial reasons because his team might've suggested it makes more sense for him to fight someone else but avoiding as in he's afraid of Froch. :rofl Carl Froch? :rofl

Bottomline about Kessler fans is this....Any fighter that is willing and ready to fight Kessler is not good enough, any fighter that Kessler wants to fight is the best and biggest threats out there....

Dawson would beat hopkins, I have no doubt about that, yet Kessler fans say that Hopkins is better then Dawson..WHY??? Because Hopkins has said that there is no need for him to fight Kessler, he thinks that Kessler is a nobody...That can be seen as hopkins ducking Kessler...Dawson on the other hand has been rebuffed by Kesslers team, they have said that its not a fight that there are interested in. So it can been said that Kessler is ducking Dawson..So that translates in the minds of Kessler fans that Hopkins is better then Dawson...Its a wrapped way of thinking, but it makes them feel better about thier guy not wanting to fight him....

Then they STILL make claims that Kessler wants to fight Dawson and that its Dawson that dont want the fight...

Well, he had one fight at SMW. I expect him to fight one of the top dogs by the end of 2009, maybe even earlier. So what's YOUR point? Do you expect him to fight Kessler next month? He might take on a tune up fight. Big deal. Bottom line is that these fights will eventually happen.

I dont know, I just always thought that the best in the division, the champ, should fight the best. Why regress? You never seen champs back in the day taking meaningless fights, unless you want to count Calzaghe. Maybe that is the mentality over in europe, get a belt, hold on to it as long as you can with mediocre challenges, and take on the other champs in the division only when you have to.

Honestly though, I agree with you, JT should fight Kessler because both of them are at the top of the division. F*** the alph belt organizations, dont care about that. Just want to see the best fights, and JT vs Kessler is the best fight that can be made in the smw div.
