According to Sauerland, a deal is close but not done. I would like to hear Stieglitz' promoter. After all, according to Sauerland a couple of week ago, Kessler is fighting Bute in Montreal this November... Anyone has some hints from SES?
hope this fight comes off. it's the the best situation for kess. he beats stieglitz, getting some ring rust off in the process, then goes for bute when he's ready. it's looking good for the super middles. so many great fights to be made. and most of them are being made. can't wait. WAR KESSLER!!!
What are the news about the Stieglitz-Kessler fight? 2 German promoters trying to screw each other, I would like to know all the moves they are making!
I reckon he don't agree with you on that considering he ran from 4 mil to fight Bute and win the legitimate title to fight Steglitz for the minor title and less than 2 mil.:scaredas:
Look forward to this one. Steiglitz is better than given credit for and has a good resume. You have to favour Kessler and if Kessler wins its a smart move as Kessler will have a belt to bargain with for later fights. ie Unification with Bute or Froch/Ward winner. Fact is though, Kessler should be WBC champ he relinquished his belt for the S6 but hasnt lost it
:huh Arum said Kessler would be getting far less under a million to fight Bute in which is why Kessler turn it down. If Kesslers face Stieg and wins, Kessler will have a belt and demands 50/50 split.
Agreed. - but Kessler needs a big KO, to dispel the impression that he's a brilliant-but-tactical fighter. If he can do this, then Kessler - Bute might possibly become the most anticipated fight of the 2012. Maybe even moreso than Pac - Mayweather, since both Kessler & Bute are still well in their prime.
In his fight before he beat undefeated Froch to win the WBC SMW title. So I guess with your logic, if Ward were to beat Froch it wont be a good win? Kessler would have taken the shine off it
