If that's so, then imo he should just retire. He's got plenty money and it's just not worth it.

 

I think Kessler should fight Bute instead if he captures this title. It would be a very bad idea for him to hang around for Ward to probably win it and then have to face him again. Kessler would be damaged even more than before.

 

Maybe, but outside of Oakland Ward would have to fight a totally different fight - the headbutts damaged Kessler far more than the actual punches did.

 

Agree but there are the fans and the money, plus he loves the sport so it's just too hard to give up. Most boxers would agree an eye and a half is enough, but how bad it is - if at all - will only be evident if and when he fights. Stieglitz is not a mover so he can safely go through with that fight.

-Stieglitz willing to go outside Germany??
-Stieglitz willing to step up, and fighting Kessler??

 

Stieglitz shouldn't be much worse than Haussler was.. He just have to stay outside, instead of going brawling with him like he did with Froch.

 

- Kessler would fight in germany, hes promoted by Saurland
- Its a big money fight but depends if Stielglitz would take it or not

Bute's promoter Interbox offered Stieglitz's team 500,000$ and all the German Tv rights. Thinking that the Romanian Tv rights for Bute-Miranda have been 116,000€ (150,000$) and for Bute-Brinkley 100,000€(130,000$), not knowing at what prices the German Tv channels are buying the Tv Airing rights for Stieglitz's fights , and considering that this is a big unification bout I'm gonna assume the minimum is to be around 200,000$. 700,000$ Offer by Bute's team


So the answer is No. He refused a bigger offer from Bute.

 

Wow. If that's the case I think we can kiss Kessler-Stielglitz goodbye. At least for now. Unless Stieglitz puts much value in the fact that he doesn't have to cross the Atlantic.

German television rights will probably stay with Sauerland.

German television rights for Bute-Stieglitz wont be worth much though as it's in the middle of the night and Stieglitz is not a marquee name in Germany.

 

IMO, Showtime still has Kessler's TV rights (for USA). Showtime would have to accept that Kessler fight Stieglitz. It is possible because he has a belt and that would put all 4 belts in stakes.

Still, he has been offered the same amount from Bute and refused it 3 times. Don't count too much on Stieglitz.



Bute is available though.

 

You are the one battheman bitching Bute for not facing top fighters (even if they are not available) and now you are happy that Kessler faces Stieglitz instead of Bute?

Kessler has only a couple of fights left in his career. He doesn't have time to make 2 tune up fights. He has to face the best available fighter.

That's Bute and he's ducking if he doesn't face him. Period.
