They will come at each other in straight lines again and it will be blood and guts stuff imo because they each come at you in one way. I think the fact that Kessler was at home, it was like a homecoming of sorts an event in Denmark, it was seen as his last chance etc, made him put in a super effort to get him over the line. I think Froch also fought a stupid fight in that fight, got drawn into the atmosphere and paid the price. Seeing as how they will both come at each other in straight lines I think its a matter of strength and freshness. At this stage I think Froch is the fighter in better condition and if its in Notts, I think he will break Kessler.
You don't the Froch of the Abraham, Bute & Mack fights is better than the version against Kessler? His punch selection, the use of his jab, better body punching and an improvement in his counter punching are all improvements I've seen in Froch since then.
Would Froch be well advised to put the pressure on Kessler this time, as opposed to boxing off the backfoot like he did in the first fight? :think
I dont think that he's improved as such but his last couple of fights he has actually jumped straight out of the blocks. Ive just got a feeling that he will mess Kessler up this time and it won't end up going to the cards
I'm not saying you were swayed by the Magee fight, but a lot of people on here have suddenly changed there minds.
Froch on points, Kessler won't be stopped, maybe put on his back at some point but there is nothing to suggest that either fighter is likely to be knocked out from their records. I favour Froch on the basis that the first was very close, Froch had a terrible camp beforehand and also fought an incredibly naive fight tactically. Plus you have to think that Froch will raise his game having suffered a defeat to Kessler last time and is also fighting at home where he seems to get some extra momentum. Putting all that together with the fact that Kessler seems to have aged a bit and suffered injuries and has been put down against Allan Green, I just feel Froch will shade it on the cards but I wouldn't be surprised if it went either way. Is Bute really going to force Froch to rematch or is it just a convenient line to keep him looking like he's a serious world force? I really can't see him wanting that fight!
Apparently he wants it but Froch/Hearn preferred the Kessler fight so they came to an agreement with Bute.
I'm sure they had to really twist Bute's arm to get him to drop the rematch! So potentially Froch could maybe fight him after Kessler still? :think
Forget the result it's just great for boxing to see 2 guys at the top of their divisions actually just getting on with it, massive props to Froch..proper champion and also to Kessler for wanting this again. Froch late KO
Froch takes it on points IMO. I see it being similar to the first fight, an all out war between two proud fighters who'll both refuse to take a backwards step. I think both Froch and Kessler, despite the great power both have, are just too damn tough to be stopped. I see Froch taking a close decision because it'll be in England. Can't wait for this fight, will be brilliant no doubt! :bbb
