Johnson at catch-weight was apparently the biggest name Palle could shoot for, when he tried to get a "big fight" for Kessler in the US earlier this year. Palle made an offer, but withdrew it, when he felt the opportunity of the Larsen-Kessler cashcow coming up... That again proves how limited Palles vision is....
Gary Shaw has repeatedly specified a fight 'at 175lbs' when talking about the possibility of fighting Kessler (or, indeed, anyone). I doubt we'll see him at 168lbs, though I've been advocating for a year that that is a move he should make, there are more relevant fights for him there right now.
You'd think that Glen would have already gotten the call (with two weeks notice) as so many others around the globe have sent for him on minimal notice during his career. He has gotten robbed in several places and been in less than optimal condition and still given the promoter's prize fighter a life and death struggle that required their judges to ensure the result. By now (with Glen being 40) you'd expect him to be an easy mark and on call to provide a win for a younger fighter at LHW (an Emanuel Burton type record would be assumed). I guess it is clear that Glen wasn't such a journeyman that was justified in being ducked by some lauded fighters. And, still isn't even today.
