You cant not rate Taylor on the basis he's moving up 2lbs from his last fight, Kessler-Taylor is a far bigger fight than Dawson-Kessler(Mikkel would be moving up in weight so you couldnt rate him if you cant rate Taylor). The others i mentioned you could have a point as far as names at the moment goes, but if those three(Miranda,Froch and Bute)were american they would have a far bigger name than Dawson, who IMO has done **** all but face past prime fighters from outside his generation while Calzaghe gets slammed patheticly for facing past prime fighters from HIS generation. And I stand by what i said about 168 being far deeper than 175. You are right he is a clear level above them at 168, but in my eyes hes a clear level above anyone at 175(The hopkins fight wont happen, but if it did ill recant, that would be a brilliant fight).
Why?, Before Taylor or the rest of the crop of SMW's. Dont get me wrong, if Dawson at a C/W of 172 is the best he gets i'll be all for it, but when he ****s him up it will be "he ducked Froch, Bute and Taylor" to take the money, and as we have all seen ****ing about weight divisions can lead to all sorts of ****(and excuses). Please if im wrong somebody pull me up but 168 is deeper than 175.
for me it has to be taylor or pavlik,he needs to fight in the states next time. hes getting better with every fight.
90% Pavlik will move back to MW and after an easy comeback fight fight Abraham or something like that. RJ is only interesting if he beats Calzaghe I think, or at least does very well with Calzaghe. Hopkins who knows? But I think it is the most dangerouse fight for Kessler. Dawson, I dont think Dawson is interested, and Kessler neither. Taylor. What is Taylor going to do at SMW if not face Kessler?? Maybe Calzaghe I dont know but it makes sence for both Kessler and Taylor to make this fight. I think Taylor is looking for a bigger paycheck though. Maybe RJJ. Calzaghe. Well Calzaghe doesn´t want the fight, but what else will he do? Maybe Dawson? or take a belt at LH. Bute is definitely not looking at Kessler at the moment. I think Bute will fight in Canada for the rest of his career. And who wants to go there? Best chance is Taylor. Otherwise a fight against Froch from which Kessler has very little to win, legacy wise.
