Wilder will not face anyone too dangerous prior to his WBC shot. The vacant title is not until 10 May and presumably Wilder will not to be out again end of May/June before fighting for the belt in the Autumn.

Johnson could be the ideal test

Wilder needs to fight someone who frustrates him to help him develop, good shout.

Good opponent if he wasn't so damn boring. Probably a good fight to hold behind closed doors, off television. I wouldn't watch it.

Shut him up, get rounds, keep busy. Surprisingly Americans want to see Johnson bashed up and would love Wilder for doing it

    Yeah I'd agree.

kingpin has never been stopped (only ever dropped once) and been the distance with Vitali, Fury & Chisora.

He also knocked clean out Wlad's next opponent Alex Lepai.

And therein lies the problem, he can punch and always lasts the distance ... FAR too big a risk.

If you discount the bums, Wilder has done nothing better than an other prospect .... And generally a little behind his peers in achieving these millstones.

    - He beat Firtha in 5, after being wobbled, as did Tyson Fury. Fury was only 21 though. Not 28.
    - beat Matthew Greer in 2 rds in last year. just as 19 year old Hughie Fury did too.
    - stopped Audley Harrison in 90 seconds, just as David a Price did. Only difference being Audley was out cold with paramedics vs Price. He was back on his feet in 7 vs Wilder.

And they are his marquee wins!!:(

Johnson is awkward and if he lands one punch he can knock Wilder out

I expect Wilder to sit out until his world title fight or fight someone terrible

I think they want him to be an unbeaten heavyweight champion with 100% KO's to put him in with Wladimir.
