i missed was hoping to see it to see if he is want he states himself as. still wish it was against barret over vargas but then again probally wish it was someone else over barret. i not impress with his record to say but his trying to pile up some kos like he said he would. hopefully soon agianst better composition.
didnt john ruiz call him? so why not fight him if do win hes in line for the wba title shot that ruiz keeps getting some how. probally woundnt mind that fight or him vs chambers, peter, or thompson. maybe even dominic guinn never been stop but lost to all or some what name fighters like toney, thompson, lyakhovich, barret, his only loss i laugh at is hawkins.
if want a jump ruiz and than there is brewster. both former champs. and like with ruiz post to be in line for winner of valuev vs chagaev.

I give him his props tonight. He looked very good. He looked like a combo of James Toney and Glen Johnson. He deserves his top 5 ranking.

Johnson caliber of fighters were much better than Vargas were and I think the pro experience showed. Who you fought isn't everything it is a factor and who he got a draw with is big also.

    Not that I recall. :?

Maybe you're thinking of Mijares, who I touted as a division-clearer until, in the eyes of some, he "stepped up" in competition (really IMO just ran into a styles nightmare, as he had beaten some very good fighter prior to that).

He just plants his roots and stands there, yeah. When you've got a sturdy chin and can slip and counter fairly well, I guess there's not going to be a whole lot of synaptic chatter between your brain and your toes. :yep

Yeah I understand that, I'm just trying to picture the two in the ring together and I think Johnson's beats Chambers.

Im not trying to make an excuse here as I don't know anything about it other than the guys name but BHOP lost his first fight.

True enough. Anyways, I was impressed by his punching power (Or maybe accuracy?) With his KO percentage, I didn't think he would be so efficient.:thumbsup

Lets not carried away! Vargas is a feather fisted small heavy with a weak chin! No big deal to defeat him!

Anyone remembers Vargas' performance at the olympics? Zuev knocked him down several times and kicked him out of the olympic tournament.

Vargas has no future at the big boys' league. He fights above his weights.
