Will listen to this. Always liked Mitchell a lot. Linares gets rightly raved about but people forget Mitchell was winning that fight in the thoughts of many going into the last 3rd. Shame his face swelled like that.

I always thought Mitchell was super talented, and could never understand how he ever lost to Katsisdis. I could also never understand how he never won a world title.

Well it was due to him getting depressed by being paid "peanuts". Also he was spending too much time at the pub and didnt have the right team and people around him.

I agree that the biggest mistake he made career wise was turning down the Amir Khan fight. At the time he turned that fight down in 2012, I think he would have stopped Khan. He should also have never left Tony Sims at 16 and never signed that 1st professional contract without having some advice.

Another mistake was going through with the Katisidis fight. If his head was all wrong and he had not trained, then he should have pulled out.

That could have catipulted him onto bigger pay. Only a year later he was going through the divorce and turned into a full blown alcoholic. Perhaps if he had taken the Khan fight things would have been different.

I'm sure Warren had some bill with Khan and Mitchell on it at one point and he actually called it something like 'collision course.' I don't think it was Khan Salita either (Kevin beat Breidis Prescott in the main support.) Shame it never happened.

I'd echo what others have said on here. I find it repeatedly amazing that Hearn gets so much abuse for putting on PPV's or sticking a fight in Saudi when Frank is ripping off the people who literally make the sport exist in the first place. Horrible bloke.

Don’t make me laugh mate...you talk about keeping the sport in existence.

Let me ask you this question...back in the day, who was the promoter who underwrote the massive debt for the board when they were about to go bust after being sued by Micheal Watson?

It sure wasn’t Barry Hearn, who promoted the show when MIcheal was
sadly injured...he ran for the hills with his loot.

Just incase you haven’t worked it out, the
    answer is Frank Warren.

Not sure why you would choose to use that term in that context. It literally doesn't make any sense.

    - Hearn hosting a fight in Saudi Arabia is wrong

    - Warren ripping off fighters is wrong

You're sticking up for Hearn as usual while criticising Warren. They're two wankers milking the sport and it's fans and neither care much for fighters. End of story.

Because Frank knew that if the board went tits up so would his business.

Are you that naive to think that a) he did it out of the kindness of his heart and b) didn't get the money back?

Moans that he aint a millionaire then says he went oon a bender and spent £180 000 on booze and brasses....turned down high level fights because money wasnt enough but they could have led to bigger paydays....admits half hearted training and camps

Zero sympathy from me.....especially after the Callum Hancock pod before
