How he performed in his last fight is irrelevant. whats happened before is irrelevant. he sells tickets, especially in London where the fight it taking place and is a bigger name than John Murray. The fight also is not for Murrays european title it was a world title eliminator with the IBF. If he doesn't deserve parity, he at least deserves more than £30,000.

some of you lot have let yourselves down here. your just baying at the blood. Mitchell ****ed up in his last fight but remember he was the first person to admit it. He made the wrong decision on not pulling out of the fight. but you have got to put all of that to one side and just look at it like this; he is the one that takes the punches. this isn't like Haye wanting an extra £1million and the red corner. Warren want's Kevin to fight the undefeated European champion, a massive massive domestic fight, coming of a loss, a 13 month layoff in London where he will sell a minimum 5000 tickets personally for the show......for less than £30,000. Its a complete **** take from Warren, especially when Murray is likley to be getting a sizeable purse...and its not even for the European title. Warren should just make Murray vs Rees or a random south american instead. Good luck selling out Wembley like that. Mitchell knows why this fight has been made, and he knows his worth. Fair play to any domestic boxer that fights for every penny I say.
