Khan's punching power will be more effective in 8 oz than on that reebok 9.5 oz, right??? What time will the fight start BTW??
8 to 9.5 oz is more of a difference in padding than area/size of glove. but its everlasts and reeboks so there will be some size diff. Khan said he was elated after hearing he could use 8oz and was only wearing reebok for thos £m's he gets. makes this fight even more exciting.
Hopefully having lighter gloves wont entice him to slug it out with Maidana because he will get KTFO.
I'd wear whatever boxing gloves felt most comfortable, forget the money. If reebok wanted to sponsor me they could wack a reebok badge on a pair of reyes...it wouldn't make any difference for them
Well if you were khan and the whole world has been calling you a china chin joke for a few years that has boxing skill, I think he is evry much aware of his chin and i doubt he will be stupid enough to even go near maidana, just dominate him from the outside until the later rounds then start unleashing or cruise to a easy ud. thats the best thing for him and im very sure he will do that. If not maidana will knock him out hard.

he didn't say it out loud but its well known he has been wanting to change gloves and 'insiders' said he was surprised but content when Maidana's camp asked him to wear 8oz everlasts.
FFS, there should be one type of glove in boxing, Reye's, and all fighters should use 8 oz gloves no matter what the weight class. Hate all these different styles and weights.
haha do you think reebok made gloves especially for khan that would be a disadvage to him? Clearly these gloves where larger to protect him from getting hit. Something like this happened last week when canelo alvarez fought ndou. Ndou was wearing some white gloves that where very very big looking and i think that is what prevented him to go down. This will definely affect khan
Khan prob dislikes reebok stuff a lot,it looks cheap and crappy. these gloves now he has to use them will be good for him,punch better in them. lol lame tactics by maidana,hes still getting put on his ass either gloves khan uses. hes just helped khan actually!.loll.
