Think its crazy a top level fighter cares whether he looks boring or not and has the ability to consider using different stylistic techniques
If you look at Khan's fights when he started he had that style where he could duck and dodge alot of shots and never got hit. Ever since Prescott KO'd him he's kept that high guard etc. That said, Khan has proven time and time again that he can take shot's to his chin. I just think he'll have to up his game when he goes to 147. So Ruben (the S&C coach) wants him to adopt who's style? You also gotta consider that this was early on in the camp (the sparring clips) w/o Freddie.
147 is stacked with better fighters than 140 but I think Amir is head and shoulders above the rest at junior welter. I think you'll see that against Garcia. With all the shenanigans at the Peterson bout and the admitted PED use, I don't even consider that a loss. Looking at him sparr he seems aggressive and picked some good shots but he is leaving himself open with some of those hooks. I think the 'one two roll out' style Angel Garcia ridiculed is , ironically, best suited to dealing with Danny.
Notice when Roach was back Khan was sparring more controlled, Khan has a real fighter mind set like a tiger wanting to unleash, but I hope Roach controls this tiger to do a pure boxing job on Danny, Khan can do this easy from range, he don't really need to throw too many hooks, but I guess this time Khan ready for anything inside or outside bring it.

Plus he cutting the carbs this week and will be coming down to touch the 140 limit, watch on weigh in Khan will look even more ripped, Ruben done a good job by looking at Khan's body lets hope he the same in the ring too.
I mean just compare the Khan in you're profile pic and this one. Huge improvement. Hopefully that'll translate in the ring as well.
Fight week has arrived "Hey guys, So fight week has arrived and Im ready to go! I touched down in Vegas yesterday from LA along with my brother Haroon and conditioning coach Ruben Tabares. Now Im here I just cant wait for Saturday night to come around, Im ready to win those world titles! Yesterday was spent mostly relaxing when we got here - Id done all my training for the day back in LA before leaving. I did a media roundtable for all the British press who are in Vegas covering the fight but other than that it was mostly a chilled out evening. The same cant be said for today though! I did my early morning track run at 5am just before the sun came up - its the best time to work out. I also had a great time talking with so many of you on the live chat with HBO Connect earlier on, I hope you guys enjoyed it because I liked answering all your questions. The main thing we had earlier today to kick-off fight week though was the Grand Arrivals at the Mandalay Bay. Both Danny Garcia and myself met the media and fans and its just wetted my appetite for the fight. Im really raring to go because Ive not stepped into the ring since last December, for me its been an age and Im just ready to go in there and take care of business. I know Garcia is going to be up for it, but I really believe I have his number. The work weve done over the last 16 weeks is going to payoff in this fight. Once the Grand Arrivals were over it was off to the boxing gym where I did a few rounds with Freddie on the mitts and we talked about the final pieces of the game plan for Saturday night. I believe my speed and power are going to be too much for him. Hes a good opponent, and someone who I respect in the ring, despite all the trash talk thats been coming out of his camp but I dont think he will be able to live with what Im going to throw at him its going to be too much. For me as a fighter fight night seems to take an age to come around. Any fighter will tell you when they get into this stage of camp they just cant wait for the big night to come around. Weve got a lot happening in the lead up to Saturday, things like the media workout and press conference but my eyes are only fixed on July 14th. I know Garcia and his camp are going to say a lot of things during the week but theyre just going to be stoking the fire for fight night. Ive not forgotten whats been said and Ill be using that energy in the right way. Im hope all you guys back in the UK have been enjoying the preview shows that Sky are putting out all this week, details are on my website. They were with me during my camp and got some great behind-the-scenes footage that Im sure youll all love. This is a really important fight for me and one that Im not overlooking. Ive always wanted to add the WBC belt to my collection and to have it on the line with my old WBA belt makes this fight even more special. Saturday July 14th is going be a great night for British boxing and Im going be coming home with the belts."
