be carefull what you wish for.
if this again go's tit's up for amir, if peterson manages to put the pressure on him and out hustle's khan to win the fight, and it could happen, then king khan's gonna be 0-2, in his last 2 fights, with no belt, and even less credability than he has now.

Peterson will drop the WBA belt and defend the IBF against someone other than Khan.Top Rank won't be dictated to,unless it is in their best interests, and Khan, being with GBP isn't in their plans.

Surely there is no such thing as a vacant Super Champion title?

    :huh

If it happens, it'll happen in Vegas, with Oscar sitting just behind the judges. Peterson will have to knock Khan out twice to win this fight. There could be longcounts, bs stoppages, dodgy scorecards, the lot. The referee is going to be on Peterson like a cheap suit, making sure there is no inside fighting. GBP have put a lot on the line for Khan, backing up his lunatic allegations and spending $$$ getting press/appeals/hearings etc, not to mention how many officials they have had to "take out for dinner". They aren't going to risk their golden goose getting snuffed out.

I'm hoping the IBF stay out of it. Let's be honest, we have all seen much more controversial things that haven't resulted in rematches. It seems to be an alarming trend at the moment for sanctioning bodies to be ordering rematches.

It sets an alarming precedent when whining and moaning gets you a rematch. David Haye will be getting one next for not having a fully functional toe. The only saving grace in the whole thing for me is that they didn't try and enforce the utter BULL**** of calling it a No Contest. That would have really been a dark day for boxing.

Yes. Gamboa and John were ''joint Super champions'' before they recognised Gamboa as a lightweight and ranked him 2nd there.

The 'nicest guy in boxing' Peterson :patsch goes back on his word to give a rematch, and now will use Khan's bitching as an excuse not to. Khan was right to do whatever it took to get a rematch, because he wasn't going to get one otherwise.
