Obviously he was shocked, because fighters aren't usually deducted points for pushing. Unless Khan was the first fighter to push in a fight? why are you so scared about a rematch?

I cant remember a fight that had as much pushing as that. Its clearly in the rules that pushing is not allowed, Khan knew it was against the rules, and the ref warned him constantly, yet he still did it continuously. LOL why would I be scared? It was a great fight, and I'd love to see them fight again...hopefully Peterson bullies Khan on the inside from the start this time, and gets the stoppage, then theres no room for sour graped appeals.

Khan was a crying **** after it though. :yep

This fight won't happen in my opinion, Peterson will keep the IBF and the WBA will strip him, Khan will fight somebody for the vacant belt.

There was talk of Rios moving to 140, with him being the former WBA lightweight champion and Roach saying "I want Khan to stay at 140 and beat Rios just for me" could that happen?

    what is with the whinging?

For those that don't like Khan this is an opportunity for Peterson to seriously damage Khan's career

What evidence is there of corruption in this fight? Evidence, not flights of fancy.

Well it's a start! But not really what I meant. My view is that the WBA are corrupt, as are the IBF. I don't doubt that for a minute.

Did the right man win the fight? IMHO - yes.
Has anybody of note complained that Team Peterson had paid somebody off/tried to influence the outcome of the fight? No - they are just saying that a man in a hat distracted a man whose importance is vastly inflated. Michael Welsh is supposed to make sure that in the eyes of his organization the judges were above board. Did he call security and ask for hatman to be stopped from bothering him? Did he report this man to his organization? No. So an official from a corrupt body, is overseeing judges sanctioned by both bodies and the local commission, and HE allows himself to be distracted.

What relevance does Hatman have to the result of the fight?
By all means investigate, change the seating plans at future events, don't let this crap happen again, learn to do a better jon. But what relevance does it have to the result of that fight ? That's my issue with a rematch.

"Acting under its authority pursuant to WBA Rule C.26, the WBA concluded that the bout's outcome was impacted by referee Joseph Cooper's questionable failure to credit Khan with a knockdown in round one and his questionable decisions to deduct points from Khan in rounds seven and 12.

"As further cause to order the rematch, the WBA also pointed to Mr Ameen's apparent intrusion into the scoring process as well as possible discrepancies between the score sheets of the two sanctioning organizations and the local athletic commission.

"In its resolution mandating the rematch, the WBA went out of its way to note that, under normal circumstances, it would not disturb the discretionary function of a referee.

"However, in this case, because of the multiple irregularities, it was necessary for it to order the rematch."

    :D

Love it this a big slap in D.C's face.

Yes, the WBA is well known for its integrity. You are an idiot, Darni.

You mean a knockdown that wasn't caused by punches? This is like the idiots who were arguing Chad Dawson "stopped" Bernard Hopkins. Neither knockdown Khan was credited with was an actual knockdown.

You mean enforcing the rules after multiple warnings? Yeah, I'd question that...

Do we have any evidence of discrepancies? Have the judges said their scores were not reported accurately? Has anyone quantified that Ameen interfered with the cards or scoring in any measurable way?

Sounds like the only issue was with the WBA supervisor who not only failed to have Ameen removed (if he was causing such bother) but failed to notify the local commission at the time.

Unless it has a significant financial interest in doing so.

The only "irregularities" seem to be with the WBA's own staff. This is more bull**** from the single most corrupt sanctioning body in the world, which really says something up against the WBC.
