I'm just saying he doesn't deserve it with how he's reacted. He's acted like a total dickhead. Not attacking the match itself, although it's not exactly a fight I'm excited for.

I hear there were a lot of Khan fans crying on twitter about Khan this and that, but I dont even look at twitter tbh. The most crying I've heard has come from Khan haters on esb crying about khan crying :huh and then proceeding now to cry about a rematch being granted even though it's one of the most logical rematches in Boxing history...

Agreed. I do think Khan does hit hard enough to stop Peterson. He's very tough, but I don't think his chin is all that.

    This is true.

Glad there is going to be a rematch, although I find Khan's behavior since the fight to be tremendously grating.

Too many people interested in Lamont, Marquez isa better name, legacy, and money than Khan.

I'd love to see a rematch but wouldn't blame Peterson if he signs to fight Pacquaio or Mayweather or Marquez

Every boxing fan wants to see them going at it again? Not if they have any ounce of common sense they don't...

    Think about this...

When someone in Lamont's position puts forth an effort like that against a highly skilled favorite how many times does it go their way?

What was supposed to happen is Lamont loses a close decision and forums blow up with Lamont was robbed, Khan put on a clinic and come on guys it was a close fight. Due to Khan's stubbornness and stupidity he cost himself a close fight.

So Khan complains to no end and with the power of his promoter gets his wishes and you expect the rematch to be anything as entertaining as the first match? Does any reasonable boxing fan expect anything other than an ugly boring hug and push fest in the rematch?

We 'lucked out' in the first match by getting a entertaining scrap because Lamont was able to put together an endearing performance but the likely scenario is that lightning won't strike twice and Khan will have his way with Lamont and the rule book in the rematch.

Sometimes it is best for everyone to move on to better match ups but if this is what all boxing fans want to see then at least this explains HBO's lackluster programming.. lowered standards.

    No.

Close fights in which the champion gets beat almost always get rematched.
