Khan's hand speed when throwing combinations is a thing to behold.

feet looked good at times...but at other times when hurt he was just running.....corner to corner...and the only reason Madina had trouble catching him was his footwork really sucks.

Agreed - he some times stumbles when over reaching. he will get clipped hard if he dosn't rectify that.

Lets not get it twisted now khan DOES have the fastest hands in boxing today, his speed when he throws his combinations is crazy all the way until the 12th which is amazing...but in terms of footspeed, he's good but not the best in the world today

Mayweather is the fastest man in boxing. He lands a punch before his opponent knows it, then gets out of range. :bbb

The nuthugging of Khan now is sickening. :dead:dead:dead

Khan still has a Glass Jaw, and that is a fact.:deal

I would say he has the fastest hands in the sport at the minute, when he's throwing combination's. I remember at one point in the mid-late rounds, centre of the ring, Khan threw a 1-2 at unbelievable speed...but missed, but then threw another 1-2 so quickly that you would think he was throwing a 4 punch combination...and the second 1-2 landed, and seemed quicker than the first 1-2, incredible speed.

His foot speed is good, but his footwork is not great. His footwork defensively is poor...especially when he tries to use lateral movement on the backfoot, his right foot always comes very close to crossing behind his left foot, leading to him being off-balance and vulnerable.

Roach said frankly: “It crossed my mind. But I spoke to him between ten and eleven and he responded well, his head was clear and he knew where he was at. I hope that’s the last time we have to see how tough he is!”

Looks like roach doesn't want Amir pulling that block punches with my face emmanuel ****.

hadnt you seen him fight before ?

a lot of guys had a lot of opinions on Khan and now seem surprised that hes fast. Bit odd !

I had said I couldnt beleive in him completely till he stopped avoiding punchers and hes done that now so all respect to the lad he's the real deal.

I guess it was the weight

He looked out of it at the end of 10...credit to his conditioning for recovering in that time.

He boxed beautifully when he wasn't stationary.

Fastest hands around his weight-class yes, but Manny has the far superior timing. On the highest level of boxing timing beats handspeed (think Tszyu-Judah or Hopkins' late success), but Amir is still very young and I'm sure he'll improve in that area. BTW, maybe it's just the after-effect of the weekend but I think James DeGale has the fastest hands today. Unreal.
Why do you post the same **** in unrelated threads over and over again?

The best thing anyone has said for a while.

His pitter pat hands are fast but his feet arent very fast at all. There are a dozen fighters who have quicker feet and a quicker boxing brain.

e.g.Marquez's hands aren't as fast but his feet are quicker.

:rofl Not even. Khan can shuttle around like a little jackrabbit but he's awkwardly gay at times. Not an aesthetically pleasing athlete whatsoever but he does move fast.

Khan has amazing handspeed as we saw in round 1, but hsi footspeed is fats but not more then that, I would even say that at times maidana was able match his footspeed and therefore able to catch khan.

    This.

He needs a bit more work on those movement, but he's on the right track.
