I never said Khan is the best fighter or anything like that you ******, i said he has the fastest hands and foot speed (notice i am not saying footwork) if you know of any boxers that are faster then ur more then welcome to state ur opinion
Khan got hit on the chin within 10 seconds of the opening bell...twice. He was off balance in the 10th, cos he switched off like an idiot, thats why it caused more damage than the others, and then got caught by 10-20 full blooded blows.
Khan has the fastest hands right now, easily elite level but his timing is still off... there were times when Maidana was wide open but Khan didn't capitalise on it, maybe he was afraid of getting countered coming in. His footspeed is also amazing, but his movement is mediocre.
It's not so much his footwork, but his balance when throwing shots and doesn't set himself quick enough in a defensive sense after throwing combinations. Needs to work on that.
The pic in your avatar where he caught Maidana as he was coming in with an uppercut was brillant, and it was so fast Maidana couldn't do a thing about it. His handspeed is crazy. His footwork is good but needs improving, footwork is more about been intelligent enough to know where to position yourself rather than anything physical, running around the ring in circles is not good footwork. There was times where he would rattle off a lightning fast combo and then get on his bike and go in circles around the ring when Maidana wasn't even close to him. Kinda worrying to that he has little to no inside game, Bradley could break him down up close.
Khan's handspeed is very good. Among the best right now. His footwork/footspeed is clumsy and sloppy. It's actually borderline awful. He's like a really really fast Rock 'em Sock 'em Robot.
Sure Khan has fast hands, but he doesn't seem to get any power in his shots. What good is a lightning fast 4 punch combo if it doesn't do any damage?
Couldn't agree more with you. The more the fight wore on, Maidana started stepping it up & also Khan seemed to fade a bit in the later rounds. I was quite impressed by the changes in the 1st 2 rounds, but the early on assault was short lived. Impressive yes, but not Pac, Mayweather, Martinez, early RJJ style impressive yet.
