I thought Khan left his chin hanging out a couple of times when he was throwing a flurry of punches at Alexander, which a more aggresive boxer might pick off. Saying that he did get the clinch in quickly which limited the window he was open.
It wasn't perfect by any stretch was it the first round where he missed the clinch turned his back and Alexander landed a hard right to the ear/back of the head? If that was a puncher that could have been trouble. Alexander fought the wrong fight stayed on the outside and on the backfoot and as predicted got overwhelmed with speed and surprisingly lot of heavy left hooks. The improvement's were there tho and Khan is moving in the right direction. Hands up more often better balance in his stance. he didn't get caught on the ropes much, his footwork was slower but more accurate and it wasn't until the later rounds he started throw 5-6 punches probably feeling by this point that Alexander didn't have enough power to hurt him and His jab which can be such a weapon was out in force again.
I thought Alexander would win but full credit to Khan, hewas very good, finally looks like he is learning something.
As ive said if he doesnt get floyd next it will most likely be a puncher as who else is there? Maybe thurman, brook, maidana, pac? Only top non puncher could be bradley i guess. Then we will really see the improvements or not, it will def be exciting
Bradley would be a great fight true 50/50 which even the looser can rebound from easily enough. Is Garcia at 147 now that would be a good fight to and despite the first fight id make khan a slight favourite
I think Brook Vs Khan will happen now, Mayweather has said "Khan needs to makes a name for himself and should wait a bit" also "nobody knows Amir Khan". Mayweather is obviously not that interested in Khan so the only other big money fight for Khan is Kell Brook.
