hold up, why all the objection to womens AMATUER boxing when they're already allowed to kick each other in the head in the olympics with taekwondo
I thought the same, slip. You can argue that Hockey and Horse Racing (dressage?) are more dangerous as well.
If Flint was still on here he'd **** you for saying that. Dressage is being sat on top of a horse while it ****s about on its toes, its not horse racing...
I'll never live that down, Gazatsch. **** horse racing orwhatever the toffs wanna call it:bart. Whatever next, panda racing? That said, I will have to watch camel racing live one day for a cheap laugh:yep.
It would be interesting to see, given Khans background, what his view on women competing in sports in general is
As an aside, I remember the ginger Scottish comedian off of 'Mock the Week' once said about Polo: 'It's the general elitism and snobbery about Polo that gets me. You don't see Pub Polo teams playing in the Sunday League, do you?':rofl
There is no argument, see...we've been through them all now 1) It's boring and we don't want to see it - So is ****ing Archery, nobody forces anybody to watch it :think 2) They could get hurt - So can men, and amateur boxing is entirely different as we know, they already have pros so this doesn't stand up 3) Uncompetetive - You try telling me the division Mr. Rigondeaux was in was competetive. I'm sure many divisions will be. Times are changing, women should be allowed to do whatever they wish, I feel like a female rights activist. As long as they aren't requesting equal prize monies in sports because that is complete bull**** based on supply and demand.
TFFP, I don't think anyone is arguing with you. If women want to do it then that is there wish. Nobody HAS to watch it if they don't want to.
A few seemed to disagree earlier in the thread, and it was intended as more of a summary of events :good Bring on Womens boxing. Frankly, any boxing female or transexual in the Olympics has to be a worthwhile addition compared to such treats as Gymnastics, Archery, Synchronised swimming and other such BS.
Khan also said this: "I am going to be supportive. I'll be cheering on the British fighters and hoping they win the medals."
That wouldn't have caused a ****-storm though, Ish! As we all know, media outlets are always keen to keep the most radical bits in and edit out some of the more banal things. Wankers.
Hang on!, they let women box now??!?!?! whatever next? A black President?!? What is the world coming to?, its political correctness gone mad!
