For a guy with a bad boxing brain I thought he did a bloody good job in the 10th vs Maidana.

Khans IQ in the ring has increased greatly on Roach's watch. No doubt he's still learning though and doesn't have the ring savvy he believes he has but give the guy a break, compared to Ortiz he's a regular Einstein in the ring.

Khan should just admit he is too ******ed and has no chance of beating Mayweather

He has a very very good Boxing Brain, actually. He LISTENS to what Freddie says in the corner and goes and does it in that round.

I like Amir, but he's not a crafty ring general & may never be, he relies more on his physical attributes than his brain.

He has improved a lot since going to the US.

Not the most ridiculous statement I've heard. Give him a break. Sure, he says a few dumb things, but you should be use to it by now to the point where a thread on everything he says is not needed.

Although we may disagree with what he is saying you can't really knock him for starting to build a fight that will most probably happen next year.

How many people would want to watch it if he said: "Mayweather is much better than me, he will probably knock me out or beat me by wide points decision but I can make a lot of money from fighting him and you never know, I might catch him with a lucky one."

    I would be pumped

I don't think his boxing brain's that good tbh if it was he'd never of been clocked by Maidana with a cheap right hand to give away when coasting in the fight really. Wouldn't of struggled to land on McCloskey. Yes he's awkward to fight but if his boxing brain was as you say 'very very good' then he'd of taken **** out of Dudey. His boxing brains not bad and it's getting there but i think you overstating his Ring IQ.

Khan's strengths as put by Drmo mostly physical, his display against Judah was the most consistent i've seen him box in terms of following a plan and executing it but one display doesn't mean he's there yet compared to likes of JMM/PBF/Ward/Hopkins the elite of the sport today his boxing brain doesn't compare. These guys adapt to the troubles they have in the ring. Amir still needs to add this to his game IMO.

Khan can do what roach tells him but he aint got the IQ to adapt to the situation in the ring. Mayweather is a ring general who can work a guy out after 2 rounds. Mayweather would deal with Khan easily. Not a hard fight at all.

Watch the Maidana fight again. He couldn't do that when he was taken outside of his comfort zone.

Ring intelligence can be improved with experience. I'm sure there has been improvement compared to his pre-Roach days!

I thought Khans breakdown on how he would fight Mayweather in the Primetime studio was actually pretty good, showed abit of a boxing brain for once
