Are Peterson's people claiming they didn't know the substance was a steroid? Or did they just come clean?

He did not have a crack on his hand wraps thats a felt pen which discredits cottos story about not having someone in the dressing room that night.

Why do I say this? its a boxing thing.... it should be obvious... However I will walk you through exactly what this means.

Cotto did have someone and the proof is the fact that there is felt pen on the exact location of the wrap.

What you see here is the pen going from one strip of tape in between the fingers over the knuckle area to the other strip of tape in between the fingers meaning you had an inspector using a felt pen or sharpie marker to ensure that no tape is directly over the knuckles as that is against the rules.

That means Cotto had someone there, why do I say that? who is going to point that out to an inspector? sure as **** not someone on Margaritos team.

This image came off of HBOs broadcast of Cotto vs Margarito 2 24/7 episode 1, in other words HBO had footage of this wrap and could have cleared up the questions that boxing still had left but they rather slander the man and make the case he cheated against Miguel.

They outta be grateful that Margarito is the type of person he is becuase I would have with out question taken this, along with Nevadas statement clearing Margarito and sued the **** out of both HBO and Miguel Cotto for slander

I'm not arguing the case id he cheated was saying if the commission believe he did why dont they change the result. But also added can't do that as they didnt find anything on previous nights. On one night they did and then he got banned. At the time I thought margarito style was all wrong for cotto and he would have won regardless. If it wasn't for his eye may have happened again. But we will now never know as that eye will always be the target

 

This is getting old. In Vegas your wraps are handed to you in a sealed bag. If it isn't in the bag, it doesn't go on the hands. You aren't allowed to use pre-made knuckle pads like in California. It would have been MUCH harder in Vegas to get away with anything. Even in California when Arum asked to have the pads independently examined they disappeared? REALLY?

Whats ****ed up was in the rematch you have Kellerman talking about How Margaritos punches dont have the same effect etc.. implying he cheated, with out bringing up the fact that this rematch was at 154 which means 10 ounce gloves and Cotto also insisted both use Everlast rather than reyes they used 8 ounce reyes in fight one.

and the way I saw that fight, let me just say this if it helps you sleep better at night to think Cotto beat his ass so be it, but that was not the dominant performance Cotto fans made it out to be.

through out he fight you can hear HBO saying its the same fight its the same fight, but Cottos winning.
it wasnt exactly the same but from 7 on Cotto was hitting that Flat spot proof is in the tape, look at the tape when time was called there is no commissioners sig on it, they added fresh tape over wet tape so that Cotto could get a rest.

the final round, Cotto hit a wall he wasnt punching he was holding and running, at the end of the round Margarito turned looked to Garcia told him he is all done I got him, and as soon as that happened the Dr stopped the fight.

Cotto won due to the circumstances but the scores for that fight were ****ed up. Irony huh? look at the scores from Cottos fight with Mayweather.

anyhow I believe had that fight continued, Margarito would have stopped him again

 

Yes they did disappear so did the District Attorney who was ready to pursue a criminal case pending the results

 

They showed the evidence as a few particles in the gauze. Not anything resembling a "block". All they had to do was find any foreign substance to declare them tampered with. Never saw any density or hardness tests or anything like that. They could have disappeared because the DA would have been laughed out of court when all they needed was to show how tough they were. Not defending Margo here, just trying to stay with the facts. Old used pads that had been previously soaked would have been an advantage and I never saw any evidence they were anymore than that.

 

Well to make plaster paris you need alot more than trace elements and you may want to make sure you have all the ingredients as well.. they found trace elements of Sulfar and Calcium that is two elements they found which is NOT in plaster paris the compound in plaster paris is Calcium Sulfate entirely different all together

 

Not sure if Margarito would have stopped him that night as cotto would have gone on the run and the fix was in for him to win. No way they would have given it to margarito on the cards. If it wasn't for his eye I think he could have done it. The commentators and everyone one else was bias as Margarito had been made into a real bad guy.

We will never know, but from what I saw from round 6 on we were just getting to the good stuff, the fight was stopped at the moment in which Cotto went flat in their first fight.

and it showed he was going flat again he was out of gas in that last round and had it on we know Tony would have not stopped he would have continued to throw shots.

What I do not like about what happend is that Margarito had to break camp fly to NY go through further medical exams and Fly back.
Only for the Dr to put a Handicap on the fight, when you medically clear a man to fight you do not put a handicap on it you give the man an equal shot, his eye was swollen but it wasnt that bad.

you had this eye Dr ringside Puerto Rican at that, who allowed Murray to get beat up like that with both of his eyes shut for most of the fight yet stop the Margarito Cotto fight the moment that Miguel went flat.:verysad

As much as I was pulling for Cotto I saw the later stages of the fight start to turn the same way the first had gone. No doubt that Cotto being able to target an already damaged eye helped a lot.
