Good luck to him, But lets face it, he's just progressing from 4-rounders, Khans planning on retiring in 4 years, you really think he'll have gotten himself within a title shot within that time frame in a stacked division?

But you're wrong in one regard, a science is needed, the sweet science! its the only way it'll be decided, and i can see them meeting down the line somewhere, and i see Khan beating him.

 

I cant see a Bradley or Alexander fight coming after this one, but we'll see sure.

 

Its gonna be the winner of the Ortiz/Campbell fight. It makes Goldenboy sense lol.
Although there have been murmurs from the Khan camp that they really fancy the Bradley fight and feel he is for the taking. I think that'l be a great chess match, with Khans in and out style under Roach against Bradleys agression and quality punching. Khans speed and discipline could help him pull it off.

 

I dont know, Otriz vs Khan? Those are GB's two Golden Boys. Would they put their two young superstars against each other at this early stage. One of them has to lose and then that guy would have 2 career losses, which would derail his career.

 

I personally think they know Ortiz doesnt have the heart to cut it at this level, he's gonna be the sacrificial lamb, they need big fights on HBO if they're gonna get their contract renewed, I see it happening.
Plus Ortiz is quite big for the weight, and young, and can move up a wieght. Gee its done wonders for Khan lol.

I think with his potential you should expect Gavin to be fighting for a world title within the next 5 years. Already a pro for 1 year, i reckon english/british within next 18 months. euro within 2 years. Then Couple of defences. This takes him to 3 years from now. By then he will have a good ranking with most of the alphabets. Then the shot will be there for him.

 

I just dont see it happening that quickly, i can see him taking the WBU route, he doesnt seem to have the drive that the Khan camp had, he seems like a down to earth guy, i can see Warren milking him for all he's worth.
Also i see his lack of punch power as a problem, he's not big for the weight either, so unless he can undergo a transformation like Nathan Cleverley, I dont ever se him getting to Khans level. But good luck to the him, i met him once, and he seemed really cool guy, and it couldnt happen to a nicer guy.

 

All you need to know: is Khan better than Peterson, who Bradley beat convincingly? Nope. Bradley's going to **** him up.

 

Its a shame Kotelniks tooth got better so soon back in june 2009, or we would have found out who really was better.
I'm guessing with Frank Warren/Freddie Roach's willingness to to take the fight back then, Khan is way ahead of Peterson, and would have beaten him.

Khan is NOT way ahead of Peterson. They're about level, but Khan was simply fortunate to get his title shot sooner. Trust me, Peterson would beat Khan to a pulp early. His body work, inside game, footwork and handspeed would make Khan tremble, then buckle.

 

Or, gee better matchmaking has done wonders for Khan lol

 

Like his total non effort against Bradley? wtf was that all about, he was slow and sluggish, and looked like a drunk in there, Khan may not have much of a chin, but he'd land at will on Peterson and be out of there before Peterson has time to telegraph his punches.

That performance told me either he cant handle the big time, or he's massively weight drained and needs to move up, cos he looked like a mummy in there.

 

I think lack of power early in a career can be decieving. Shorter fights you know 4 rounders and stuff, less time to catch up with an opponent. Plus as with clev, it is something that can develop.
I hope warren does not bum him senseless with the wbu. It does seem to have taken a back seat to be honest the wbu though
