How did Limond do in the Arthur fight, the only other one he lost? I'm interested in finding out a bit more about him. Skelton-Sprott up next. Great video package, highlights from all the Skelton-Williams-Harrison-Sprott fights.
I'm pretty sure he said he'd love 4 rounds with Mayweather rather than that he'd beat him. Really, what do you expect teenage boxers to say? The only difference is when he says stuff like that, people actually bother to report it.
The best Khan could do is be a Terry Norris type with speed and power and heart. If I were him I'd stay away from every big or even decent puncher in the division but Julio Diaz because I think Diaz has a glass chin too.
Kahn should have been stopped then  Limond would NEVER have got that long to see if he was OK, If it was him who was down. This content is protected This content is protected
There's too much negativity here, a lot of childish glee being posted when Khan went down. Willie Limond is a proper fighter, a good pro, seasoned and experienced with only ONE defeat. Khan is kid. He's 20 YEARS OLD for ****s sake. You watched a KID go and brawl with a damn good fighter like Willie Limond and come back to win, and yet all people can say is he was exposed! Not a chance. Chin? Yeah, quite possibly china. Limond isn't a massive puncher and khan was all over the place. Thats one negative. Lets look at the other aspect of Khan's game that he PROVED tonight; 1. Bollocks. 2. Heart 3. Will to win 4. Punching power 5. great handspeed with the jab and follow-up right-cross. People are being way too negative. He still has LONG way to go, he needs lots of fights so he can gain experience and learn to deal with shots, coz he'll be facing much harder punchers than Willie Limond if he wants to get anywhere. He's 20, this isn't Audley Harrison, and he'll get much better as he matures. If he goes for the world-class guys within the next 3-4 years then he'll get killed. If he's managed properly he might go on to do well. But on the good side it was a cracking fight, he showed so much bottle when he was fighting back from that knockdown, it was inspirational to watch a 20 year old novice do that. Willie Limond gave a great account of himself, he's nothing to be ashamed of. Amir Lhan has a very fast jab and follows it up so quickly with the right hand, when's got his hands up and he's doing that to people he's great. However one of the problems he has is that when he tries getting up close he goes charging in he gets realy scrappy, he's just a blur of hands. Someone experienced like Limond, who wasn't overwhelmned by the speed of the barrage, managed to just sit back and pick his shots as Khan came charging in. The only cure for that is experience, time, ring generalship. It'll come as he gets more mature. Right, off to watch Skelton Sprott
Good comparison. Terry Norris is indeed about the best that Khan could do. But I think his shaky chin will give out LONG before he reaches Norris' level.:yep
The irony is that Limond went all out to finish Khan but ended up punching himself out. A more noted puncher than Limond would definitely have shipped Khan. The Khan hype bubble isnt quite burst, but it's definitely leaked air after that fight. I don't see Khan fighting for world titles anytime soon.
