i would fancy him over these guys. 1. Nate Campbell 5. David Diaz 6. Julio Diaz 7. Antonio Pitalua 9. Ali Funeka 10. Yuri Romanov
Yep I'm kosaros on this, Funeka is a nightmare fight for Khan. Haven't see Pituala so I can't comment. Khan has a shot against Julio Diaz and Katsidis. However, that is still dependent on him not getting a good bang on the whiskers (or up around the side of the head even) by the time he takes either man out. The rest of the lads on the list splatter the **** out of Khan. It doesn't matter, though, because there is about as much chance of me fighting one of these lads next as there is Khan. Sky and the press can hype the **** out of him all they like (and they will) and Warren will cash in with a few more PPV's against sub par opposition. Fact is when Khan moves up in class he will get smashed. He hasn't even fought a decent Lightweight yet. There is no decent LW on his record anywhere. So hype it all you want he has done **** all so far. His only hope is that he moves up in weight and by some miracle his punch resistance improves. If that doesn't happen then he gets taken out by anyone good enough to land a clean shot. Anyway, you won't see him in with anyone anywhere near the top 10 in the division anytime soon
If you ready what I wrote you would see I am not saying that. I'm saying Khans quick fire style is an effective one but he is frail. If he was tough he could beat some of those names.
What the hell have i been going on about all day. read Most of the extra weight will go straight to his skinny legs and This content is protected This content is protected
Casamayor is well well past his best. The fact he struggled with Katsidis shows it. At his prime a slick, crafty southpaw like Casamayor would have made easy work of such a crude fighter. However he was hurt and had a lot of bad moments before rallying to win the fight. Also, prior to this he really got lucky against Santa Cruz. I've got a feeling he'd still beat Khan though. Khan has never seen a good southpaw in the ring, only sparring. And Casamayor is quite a slick cagey southpaw so that is something tough to adjust to. I think he'd catch Khan with a counter because of this. I'm not sure Khan would position his feet correctly. As for people thinking he beats Nate Campbell...lay off the crack! Campbell would walk him down until he catches up with him. He is an old school fighter on the inside, he'd take it to Khan where he hates it. I see Campbell stopping him mid to late after Khan starts well.
Champ: Juan Manuel Marquez KO 1. Nate Campbell KO 2. Edwin Valero KO 3. Juan Diaz KO 4. Joel Casamayor Khan UD 5. David Diaz Khan UD 6. Julio Diaz UD 7. Antonio Pitalua Khan UD 8. Michael Katsidis KO 9. Ali Funeka KO 10. Yuri Romanov KO
after seeing funeka against campbell im pretty sure he would destroy khan, tall big and rangy at lw and extremely awkward
He'd have a good chance with David Diaz who's very easy to hit but wouldn't go anywhere when hit for a while. Katsidis would be beatable for Khan too - not been that impressed with him to be honest. Most of the others, including Casamayor would 'brutally' KO him.
Well i think if Frank is talking about a world title by the end of the year for AK he got to fight 1 of these top 10 next, i am sure Roach will let him fight a bum after beating MAB.
